I have a favorite fish place in Tokyo now. Literally ordered a bowl of eel. 🤤🤤🤤 #tokyo#japanesefood#tokyofood#sushi#riceallday
EDIT: Hearing about the loss of Anthony Bourdain as I literally eat and breathe what he was about is so shocking and heartbreaking. May we all savor the moment and the food.
Been doing a lot of reflecting lately.
What is it that I want for me, for my fam, for our future?
Why is it that certain things happen?
There must be a reason?
What is it that I love about my life?
How can I lead others better to finding what they love?
How can I make more time for the things I NEED to do while doing the things I WANT to do?
How can I be more present in the moment?
How do I address those thoughts that still exist that say — you aren’t doing enough Mel, you should be better for your kids, your hubby, yourself... all the peeps that need you. You need to adjust some things... 🤔🤔🤔
Self reflection is a GOOD thing. Going through the hard is a GOOD thing. Self love is messy.❤️ It’s a constant daily discipline of doing the mental and spiritual work.
And since my physical work is on a slight hold with my latest injury, I have a feeling it’s about get more real and raw... and that’s OK. Sometimes bubble baths, Netflix and PJs are necessary on the road to self reflection and improvement.
Not a set back but a setup for greatness✅👍🏼 You gotta fail to succeed girl ‼️‼️‼️🤷🏼♀️🙏 Like a slingshot..... pull it back, check it out, look at your form and placement, readjust and then...
LET IT GO!!!!!!!!!!✌🏼💫
Speaking of Okinawan pottery, this was our amazingggggg brunch from earlier in the week! The owner makes all the plates, mugs and bowls himself AND he is a former body builder which is totally random but so cool. They were super welcoming and made it a point to speak in English. The food was SO fresh, so nutritious and delicious-and we both ate for $11 total 😳😳😍😍 After our meal the owner brought me home-brewed iced coffee and well, I don’t think brunch can get any better. If you’re in Oki, I highly recommend checking out Waki-Gawa Kitchen!
