Check out my latest blog post about what waiting reveals about how we see ourselves and God’s great love for us. Remember who you are in Christ, beloved, chosen, important, planned, priceless and declare that over your life today. When we get a handle on how ridiculously loved we are then all the waiting in the world is ok because we can say with certainty ‘God’s got this and I am going to thrive in life’. God Bless you today! Bartolome Murillio the Return of the Prodigal Son.
Almost relegated to obscurity Murillio and his studio created countless memorable pictures. This is one his rendition of the prodigal son. One son stays another leaves. The guy staying dosent give his dad respect. Guy coming home prostrates himself at his dads feet. This becoming the favorite, the key, the respectful son shows obedience. And thus a great Bible story. Laying the composition out with the center stage the meeting Murillo stresses the point.
The returning son looks off balance, unhinged but after being away so long you would be too.

#PlaybackFromTheWayback#ReturnOfTheProdigalSon KAMAL SHETU MOHAMED Whilst the focus this year has been on rebuilding and improving structures at the Reservoir Hills Rhinos, we have also engaged and enlisted the help of the Rhinos Old Boys with the intention of using their expertise and guidance to move forward!
It was with great joy that Kamal returned to us after a long absence to add impetus and energy to our 2018 campaign. Making his mark against Jaguars at Sirpat Road Sports Complex, he scored two tries and contributed invalueably to team spirit! #Salute#RhinosMovingForward2018
A copy of this renown piece hangs in the Lee Abbey lobby. As we look at the theme of "hospitality" this week, we observe how Rembrandt paints the hands of a father who is strong and firm, but also permanently soft and welcoming. In his book reflecting on the story of the Prodigal Son, Henri Nouwen "probes the several movements of the parable: the younger son's return, the father's restoration of sonship, the elder son's vengefulness, and the father's compassion." Maybe it was first time that I could go deep inside of music and then I could be part of the music.
