Χωρίς αυτό, το σώμα δεν έχει την ευκαιρία να ανοικοδομήσει και να ενισχύσει τους μυς, με αποτέλεσμα να καταρρέουν.

Day 25 of our #camino2017 in #pampelonne#pamplona Rest Day! We spent time with our feet up, sent more unneeded stuff home, and explored the city. And of course there was a #festival . We both love this city.

One of the first instructions God ever gave was for us to REST. And it’s the only instruction that we see He followed Himself. -
On Saturday’s I rest. ✨
I honestly try & do as little as possible. I try to catch up on some sleep💤, read 📖 & at most maybe take a slow light walk.
I’ve been doing this for over 4 years now & I can tell you it’s made
a HUGE difference in my life! -
Rest days allow you to rejuvenate your mind, your body & your soul.
They allow you to push HARDER during the week & become more productive as you know there is a finish line waiting for you. 🏁
Imagine running a marathon that had no finish line, there was no end in sight.
That’s how I feel life is without a rest day.
The rest day is my FINISH LINE.
I push all week & once Friday evening comes around I know I have done well & I can now rest.
It’s important to give yourself at least one day a week to recover from the business of life (even if you don’t train).
So take a day off. 💥
And don’t feel guilty for not training! This day is part of your training, this day is going to help you get faster, stronger & have more motivation to take on the next week! 💫

Yes, I need to learn to Listen to my body a bit more - But I can't blame myself for being over zealous, especially when I recently had the best part of 3 years in bed!
My re-awakened grit and determination are both a blessing and a curse at times.
Luckily enough, the damage from over-working my knee seems to be subsiding, thank #funk . Fingers crosaed.
I've been blessed to have had great treatments from some highly knowledgeable and skilled practitioners over the last few weeks.
Well, a rest day or three might be in order, although I am hopeful that I can just work gently around the situation, keep things flowing with some maintenance.
However, I also feel it's time to focus on my music a little more anyway at present, so now's the perfect opportunity, I guess.
There's one or two musical projects I've been snoozing on that are wellllll overdue.

Back to #parkrun after a two week break to be #rundirector at #maribyrnongparkrun on a gorgeous sunny #spring morning. Fun with #milestones , visiting #Westerfoldians @amandao63 and @accuzzy_bro_runs and @alex_mary_rose sprinting down the finish shoot all topped off with a fantastic #parkdog delegation. Thanks to my fantastic team of volunteers - it couldn't happen without you 💚
Was planning to do my own run this afternoon but whatever my shin is doing didn't seem to like me sitting down when I got home and now I can barely stand so I'm calling this week a write off and hoping it settles for Tuesday's #run .
Buggered | 6 weeks challenge over | Need to focus more on mental wellbeing | Overall stoked with results this time around. Amazing how a little tweak in routine and diet makes a difference | Time for R&R before the next round starts again. 🛀
Happy Saturday everyone!!! 😀 Is today your rest day? It is for me. I just can’t help but want to go back to the gym anyway. Buuut... muscle recovery is a real thing. So I’ll rest one day! 😅 was looking up motivational things and I saw this quote, “Rest day? You mean cross train until the weights I want are free?” And I think, this is what I do all the time at the gym lol. And then I make up random workouts to go to the gym on my rest day. We can’t be helped haha. Stay motivated! Think about your goals. No matter where you’re at right now if you continue working on it, you WILL see results!! And good ones!!! I never thought I’d see mine and here I am 🙂
PS I’m totally going to the gym tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣
