“Sectional #1 ” was sold today to a lovely family from Houston, Texas! Its amazing the people we meet during our residencies. We were chatting to another group of folks and one lady was from Princeton (where we had our residency last year). @mariadoering said how it’s really a small world and she’s met people during her many travels around the globe who know the same folks she does or lived in the same town as her - maybe one or two degrees away type of thing. Then I made a cheesy joke to the woman from Princeton that maybe I’d see her at @swcoffee (Small World Coffee) sometime 😂
Well, either his knee caps break backwards or the weights fall on him and the weights hit his big dumb forehead and he gets a subdural hematoma which causes a brain herniation and he also bleeds internally but lives on a vent in long term acute care facility into his 40’s when he died from a terrible ventilator associated pneumonia. Dumbass.
It’s all about celebrating small milestones! One more week left for my first month in residency. And I just finished my 12 day straight on medicine inpatient service. I love medicine! But I would be lying if I didn’t say I am exhausted. On these last a few weeks I’ve learned so much but one main thing is there’s so much more to learn. There’s so much detail and team work involved in patient care. For example today, the EMR was down and it was yet another reminder that without communication and team effort not much can get done.
Medicine has its ups and downs because not everyone can be healed back to health but it’s a reminder that we are all mortal. As long as I make a difference in a patient’s recovery, I am content. Also, I would not be smiling tonight if I didn’t have some of the best group of colleagues around me. So thankful for all their guidance! 💜 #medicine#residency#doctor#teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Note to self: it’s not too late!
I put off many of my workouts until last minute this week.
I put them off when I worked.
I woke up to workout before my shift and had a headache...I can do it after work. Well then I got off work late... As you can see, one thing led to another.
Instead of giving up on my entire week, I have gotten in two solid workouts the past two days.
It’s crazy how efficient 30 minutes heavy lifting and HIIT workouts are!
The fact that you can have success even if you put off your workouts until the end of the week freakin thrills me.
You are never too old and it’s never to late to embark on your journey!
It’s another chapter to add to your story.
If you struggle with time or procrastinating, know that I am here for you!
If you want to get in on these new efficient 30 minute workouts, 4 days a week, I got that for you too!
Who’s looking to quit putting it off? •
Great second day at the DERM 2018 conference👩🏼⚕️🧠💥 Covered lots of info from viral exanthems to novel treatments for acne and rosacea! Excited to implement some of these new treatments into my practice!
The dreamiest use of corrugated steel walls we ever did see. The fabulous @atelier500th has been back in residence this past week making filmic fragments of bodies in buildings, and is throwing open the doors of the studio today from 1pm-3pm to share her work. With a cinematic cameo from @l_e_s_l_e_y_t_u_r_n_b_u_l_l_ that would make Heathcliff blush. Fire will be lit and talk will be top shelf. #testinggrounds#artartart#residency#artistinresidence#heathcliff#doubletake
Introducing...Dr. Napolitano! She was owner #2 of the practice, followed by Dr. James Ku, and then myself. The practice truly flourished under her leadership and after getting to know her I can see why! She is a total perfectionist but most importantly she is super caring. 💕 .
As odds would have it, we both graduated from UOP Dental School and teach at USC Dental School. Considering I did not know her until I started teaching, this is a huge coincidence!! I know a lot of people assume we must have known each other from UOP but she was literally retired by the time I graduated 😋 and yes I do get asked a lot whether I was her dental student 😂. Our paths never crossed until I met her one day at USC ✌️. Now it seems as if I will forever be following you around Dr. Nap! Sorry! 😂
Officially putting myself on life support 🏨🙌🏽😭
You know that feeling when you get SO excited you can’t even sleep? Well... Hi 👋🏽 That was me alllll day today🙃 .
Witnessing ladies on my team accomplishing things that took me TWO YEARS to master in only a few short months has me giddy AF right now! I can’t sleep. I can’t breathe. I can’t tell if I want to do cart wheels on the beach or cry my freaking eyes out 😭😭 .
One thing I do know though.... is that I need to go to work but I’ve literally been wide awake ALL DAY 🙈😂
Time to chug my yellow coffee & my super hero shake and pray to dear God I make it through the night! 🙌🏽🙏🏽🔥
Ps. If you want to see what all the hype is about- peep the link in my bio✌🏽💖👭🕊

✨Dream come true! ✨ Excited to announce I’ll be heading to Rutland, VT for a month-long residency this August at 77Art! 🔻 If you’ve been eyeing these small embroideries, now would be a good time to reach out and buy one! They range in size from 3x3” to 7x7” and price from $40-150. These sales will help support this much-needed time and space to develop my work and would mean the world to me! 🔺
