Meet a lovely female cat that needs somebody to give her home and love forever. Rescued over a month ago. She is quite young- max 2 yrs. In need of responsible owner (not microchipped or neutered. Needs vaccinations. But mostly she needs place she can think of as home at last. You will love her at first sight - I guarantee!!! I cannot imagine her going into a shelter therefore being abandoned yet again. If you can help please DM me.
Good news ! The cow is now up for adoption too! If you'd like to adopt this cute guy, the adoption fee is $20.00 & you will also receive a free open play pass! All proceeds will go to our friends @lea_at_lemonranch to help with their rescue expenses & the little red barn will be matching every dollar donated ! He will go to the first person to come pick him up, no holds !
We’ve decided what better way to showcase our available cats and kittens then by posting our pet of the day on IG? This cute little tortie is Ember. She’s 1.5 years old and she’s the absolute sweetest (just look at that face). Ember is quite the lounger so if relaxing and de-stressing is your thing, then she’d be your purrrfect partner. She also knows how to have fun and has her moments of playfulness and silliness. Ember is a food motivated kitty, and we’re convinced that in another lifetime, she was a food blogger. She even knows some tricks (like coming when called and sitting pretty). She’s shy at first, but she has a lot of personality and warms up quickly once she’s comfortable. 😌 She deserves a sweet family, let us know if you’re her perfect match!
What can be the outcome when grandma meets a lama? 😂💦👏 (sound 🔊 on) .
Animals just being themselves! 💙

Hi, I’m Elizabeth! When Elizabeth was born she was so sick she needed a blood transfusion sent in from Minnesota. She had a heart murmur and was very weak. The vet that took care of her started up the Elizabeth Animal Hospital. So we named her Elizabeth!
Did you see Curious Creatures at the Medfield Library?! Pictured is Corey holding Shamus, a cinnamon chinchilla! Corey has been with us for over a decade! These photos were taken by Daniel Curtin for a great article about this program:
"I love the opportunity to show them animals that they don’t get to see a lot," Kummel said. "To show them lizards and tortoises from South America, snakes from Australia - that’s probably my favorite part."
Thanks for a fun time, and a great write up!

I am saddened to say that we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Alberta, a lot sooner than we could have imagined. The day after we got her home she prolapsed after laying an egg. The vet said it was so severe that it was obviously a reoccurring injury that had been ignored. There was nothing that could be done as her internal injuries would have been too great. I take comfort in the fact that her death would have been peaceful in comparison to the millions of other hens just like her that are sent to slaughter.
The awful reality is that she was born into a body that was destined to fail. A body that was designed and manipulated by the food industry. She was only 18 months old and her poor body had produced more eggs than it should have done in a whole lifetime. Alberta’s fragile body gave up.
I ask each of you to please start opening your eyes to the reality of the food industry. Think about the victims and their lifetime of suffering just so you can enjoy the taste of something that you will soon forget about. No sentient being deserves to be born purely for human greed.
I just wish she could have enjoyed the life she deserved for a little longer 💔
Why does Tommy Llama look concerned? Frannie and I were driving the poop spreader (a length of chain link fence pulled behind the RTV) this morning. I got too close to the watering trough and put a hole (or two) in the hose. The job that Richard hates more than anything is changing out that hose. He doesn’t know yet. 😱 I am posting this from the barn. If you don’t hear from me again you will know why! 🤪🤪
⠀ 🔶How to make your parrot stop being afraid of you?
⠀The answer to this question is quite individual, depending on the the bird’s character. But there is a couple of general points for everyone that I will share with you right now.
⠀🔶If a parrot has just settled with you, find him his own place. Do not carry his cage from one room to another at first, do not move him for a while, so that he adapts and feels that his house is safe and permanent. If a parrot has a psychological trauma or a mental disorder, try not to put your hands in his cage without the need. Just to clean it. Let him feel that his house is his fortress🏠
⠀🔶Have enough patience. Don’t think that he will be able to run on your shoulder in a week. Again, we are talking about rescued parrots with a hard life and with the problem of sociopathy🤕 My mom just sat next to my cage for a very long time, so I got used to her and had a chance to know her better😏💚
⠀🔇Do not immediately turn on loud or heavy music, yes, parrots love music and dancing but it’s better to start with jazz or romantic ballads♥️ so that the bird calms down but does not become even more nervous. Remember, if a birdie has previously been mistreated, almost any action can cause stress, and we don’t want it!🙅🏻♀️
⠀🔶And, finally, do not force your parrot to anything. Don’t impose anything on him, but wait until he calms down and shows interest. Believe me, cockatoos - they are very loving and always stick to person they love, they will be tamed for sure!💚 If you want them to get used to your hands, open the cage and just reach out your hand. Don’t put it in a cage, just “offer” it to the birdie. ⠀🔶So, to sum up, for us we marked 3 main rules: 1️⃣ bird needs time, 2️⃣ no sudden movements and noise, 3️⃣ everything should go on voluntarily!
⠀❔And how did you tame your birds? This review is quite general, there are much more nuances. How did you achieve that your parrot stopped being afraid?❔
PLEASE HELP LOKI THE DONKEY MAKE A FULL RECOVERY!
#Loki the donkey endured a terrifying ordeal this week. A large truck grazed past him, a sharp hook on its side ripping through the skin on his hind leg. Loki was left incapacitated, bleeding profusely and unable to bear any weight on his injured leg. Thankfully, we were able to rush him in to the ResQ Centre for an emergency suturing, during which our veterinarians stitched the healthy tissue surrounding Loki's wound over the injured area, thus preventing his infection from spreading further.
Imagine the sheer terror that this poor donkey must have endured as a huge, 20-tonne vehicle swept past him, the slightest contact resulting in such a grievous injury! Loki is in tremendous pain right now, and we are doing everything we possibly can to help alleviate this. Although the infection and pus in his wound have subsided considerably, the gash on Loki's leg will take time to heal. He is slowly warming up to the prospect of using his leg again, and he is going to need a lot of medical attention and physical therapy. Our large animals need your #support just as much -- if not more -- as our little ones do, which is why we're asking you to extend your love and #compassion for Loki today. Please help this incredibly sweet-natured boy defeat the pain of his injuries and make a full recovery! Sponsor Loki's treatment by clicking the link in our bio (this link works for Indian nationals only). For foreign donors, please DM us to know how you can help Loki!
