It’s extremely chilly here and has been snowing which is magical! 🎄
Lots of money has been spent, foods been eaten - haven’t been sticking to gluten and dairy free here very well as it’s really hard and my tummy is definitely feeling it but I’ll be back on track soon.
It’s 8am here and we are visiting Chelsea market today!
Hope all my lovely clients are having a good November.

How you treat your feet influences your organs & your health. Don't stuff them into ill-fitting shoes (ladies, ditch those heels). DO massage them as often as possible (like under your desk and before bed). #100dailychoices#footlove#reflexology#deskbreaks

What is reflexology? Reflexology is a form of bodywork that involves applying pressure to the hands and feet to produce changes in pain and other benefits elsewhere in the body. ⠀
What Is a Typical Session Like? A typical treatment is 30 to 60 minutes long and begins with a health history form and consultation about your health and lifestyle. The reflexologist will use the information to customize the therapy. You may then be asked to remove your shoes and socks and sit comfortably in a reclining chair or on a massage table. The reflexologist will assess the feet and stimulate various points to identify areas of tenderness or tension. Brisk movements and massage may be used to warm the hands and feet. Finger or thumb pressure is then applied to the foot using reflexology techniques. ⠀
Lotion or oil may be used, and the reflexologist may also use instruments like balls, brushes, and dowels. There is currently no regulation of reflexology in the United States. Your healthcare provider may be able to recommend a therapist. You may want to choose a therapist who has been certified by the American Reflexology Certification Board and has at least 200 hours of education at a recognized institution. ⠀
Reflexology vs. a Foot Massage ⠀
While a foot massage may feel the same as a reflexology treatment, a reflexologist will work on areas to promote a healing response in the corresponding organs. A massage therapist giving a foot massage will manipulate muscles and other soft tissues to improve circulation, relieve pain, and heal injuries in the area or to induce overall relaxation. ⠀
Why Do People Get Reflexology? ⠀
-Stress and stress-related conditions ⠀
-Tension headaches and migraines ⠀
-Digestive disorders ⠀
-Hormonal imbalances ⠀
-Sports injuries ⠀
-Menstrual disorders, such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS) ⠀
-Digestive problems, such as constipation ⠀
-Multiple sclerosis ⠀
-Back pain ⠀
Reflexology is also used for post-operative or palliative care. A 2015 review published in Integrative Cancer Therapies found that massage was effective for the relief of cancer pain, especially for surgery-related pain. Of the various types
WHO LOVES TIGER BALM? I do! ❤️❤️
I have it next to my bed and use it on my temples if I have a headache.
The camphor smell is delicious and can be used if you have a chesty cold - a good natural decongestant.
My current problem is ( ...getting old but that’s a different story) I have pain in my right knee and the doc has told me it’s wear and tear - great I’m only 52!!
At night I put some Tiger Balm on the localised area and because of the cooling action it feels great
Obvious precautions would be to avoid open wounds sunburn and wash your hands after using.
Anyone use it for any other ailments please share as I can’t recommend it enough

Yesterday, on Lorraine Kelly's show, that twinkly-eyed Dr Hilary Jones dismissed reflexology as a mumbo-jumbo foot rub. Pesky scamp!
I'm not getting defensive on this. I never claim that reflexology is an alternative treatment/cure, and always explain that it's a complementary therapy. But at the very least, I've seen many good things come for my clients who give themselves the time to rest, helping their bodies and minds repair and heal. And being a holistic therapy, reflexology takes into account and helps you focus on all aspects of your life, not just one isolated symptom. 🤔 I'd love to know what you all think about reflexology!
Today I took myself on a little roady to William Ricketts Sanctuary in the Dandenongs. This place has an amazing energy about it and the sculptures depicting Aboriginal people are just incredible, I was getting goosebumps! Exploring on your own is a great way to clear the mind and re-charge the batteries. If you are feeling stressed or anxious take yourself somewhere cool this weekend, your soul will thank you for it!
Facial Reflexology works the same as Foot Reflexology that when light pressure is applied to specific organs & systems, this in turn helps promote homeostasis.
Facial Reflexology not only induces deep relaxation & stress relief but creates a healthier glow, relaxing facial tension which we hold in our Jaw, cheeks & forehead.
I've treated a few children with Asperger's who have had great benefits, relaxing and falling asleep almost immediately. These children go on to have a great night's sleep and are calmer for the rest of the day and this continues for a few days after. Each individual benefits differently as don't forget this is a holistic approach, treating the individual as a whole in the hear & now.
Treatment lasts 50-55 minutes & costs £40.
Children 30 minutes £20
Please note Facial Reflexology is not suitable if you have Botox or Facial Fillers in the last 3 months.
It’s amazing to simply stop! no phone no tea no read no do nothing just sit, breath, feel how lovely it is to be in the body and feel how yummy that is to feel refreshed then move forward from there🍃☺️#rest
