Sometimes you get on the tarmac & even your mind is reluctant but I was out there running. My calves were on fire, I had an insane stitch & a disgraceful pace. All in the name of recovery. What a Sunday ..took me@back to my school days ..during my summer vacations I visit Bangalore and my uncle who lived in Shivaji nagar those days used to take me in his LML Vespa 🛵 to cubbon park ,museum and the roasted corn where all these memories I had ..though did my college in Joseph’s and work crossed cubbon park so many times never able to spend time ...and since started running it was my dream to experience a run there ..and it happened today through the easy recovery run and before knew it was over ..my young running partner at 53 was sprinting ahead of me like a child ..bumped into so many friends from the running community ..it was like visit to a temple on a holy day 😀..#runnersofinstagram#runtoexplore#runnerforlife ❤ #cubbonpark#recoveryrun#bangalorerunner

Well not really gostan mode... After 4th day since the screaming session... See how's the leg behave/ feel... (part of the reason:missed the morning hike due to work argh...) Anyway, time slightly (yea right slightly my ass) better... 5km done in 30mins 59 sec...
Plantar fasciitis on the left foot well, still a bit pain but not that severe. Of cos only the 4th day.. Don't expect you can fly lol.
Next Tuesday : 8km target
Thursday : 10km

Might not look like much, but it is. First official run since my ultra a month and a half ago. After aggravating my leg at a marathon mid May, I really sent my leg over the edge with the ultra 2 weeks later. This has been the year of injuries: ligament strain in January and now calf and hamstring tendinitis. It's been tough to take it easy, but necessary. This short three and a half mile left me breathless, but I felt fast and strong from all the lifting I have been doing. I'm ready to take back my run! #runningmotivation#recoveryrun#ultrarunner#7run6
