I spent last weekend in the backwoods of Seitseminen national park. A cuckoo was singing all the time. All the time!
First I had a date night, I mean date NIGHT, exploring the eskers, marshes and lakes. The sun doesn't set this time of the year. An owl was hooting.
The second part of my trip was participating in a study of Israeli university. I was interviewed about my nature experiences while walking in the old-growth forest. It was a nice chat and I learned things about the nature of Israel!
The third part was being alone in this sweet, vast forest. Solitude. Being a hermit. Recharging. Speaking to no one. Staring at the cottongrass. Smelling the marsh labrador tea. Doing my things. Drinking coffee slowly. Meditating for extended periods of time. Not taking selfies, not being in social media.
On Sunday I returned to the civilized world and went straight to a yoga school to teach handstanding to a full class of yogis, with horsefly bites and the most peaceful mind.
This was a dose of #soulfood .
May my heart always lead the way, gracefully & full of love...
“Deer’s teach us how powerful it is to be of gentle demeanour, to exert keen observation and sensitivity. Deer’s are in tune with nature and all it comprises. They are sacred carriers of peace and show how to open your hearts and love unconditionally.”
