Haven’t been on my fitness sh¡t in a miinute!😓 Finally getting my a$$ back up in there tho.⛓📶 Lost a lil weight, and some tan😰 ;but realizing the low only fuels me to achieve an even greater high.📉📈 — I like to do a couple light sets of this one before getting to the heavy stuff in my chest workouts occasionally, as it helps prevent my shoulders from arching forward. This helps to stabilize and ensure a full pectoral contraction + stretch🙌🏼. (Keep your back straight, and try to Lift the dumbbells more so with your shoulders/traps.  Allowing the weight to be *gripped?* by your elbows rather than squeezing the 💩 out the dumbbells with your hands.) Tips for this exercise:💪🏽💪🏽
1️⃣ Hold the end grips of the rope between your middle and ring fingers🖖🏽🖖🏽(Spock)
2️⃣ You can either stagger your feet or keep them together, whatever helps your balance more
3️⃣ Imagine strings are pulling your elbows back, finishing the movement in a double bicep pose
4️⃣ Don’t go too heavy on this one so the weight doesn’t take you forward too much
5️⃣ Keep a slight bend in your knees for balance and keep great posture
6️⃣ As in the name, you’re basically pulling the center of the rope to your face, right between your eyes

For some reason when talking about training shoulders most people will think about lateral raises, shoulder presses, military presses etc. These exercises focus mainly on the lateral and front delts, but what about the rear delts?😯

To have healthy and strong shoulders that support and don't hurt during the bench press, and to prevent injury, it's important to give the rear delts the attention they need.

Reverse flyes (machine or cables), face pulls, and bent over db flyes are some of the exercises that will target these muscles. 10-15 repetitions per set it's usually a good range to work with.😉

“Training rear delts has been made out far too complicated than it has to be. Your success with bringing up those peanuts really lies in knowing the basic function of that muscle and being consistent with your setup. —————————————————————
One of my fundamental go-to’s is the Cable Cross Rear Delt Fly. In my head, I know the main function of that rear Delt is pulling the upper arm out (in the plane of the muscle of fiber direction). It’s important to understand a few things. Stabilizing the shoulder blades is important. Having the intent of preventing them from moving is a bad idea. I focus on keep my mid traps tense, but I am absolutely okay with them moving as they naturally should. This is going to add to the contractions and the set. 
Last tip. I prefer a higher cable setting (above shoulder height). This allows a little bit of a slicing pattern to the fly. The whole purpose is to give a little bit more leeway to the shoulder joint. I just find when you simply go straight out and in with the upper arm, ROM is lost and the GH joints feels gummed up. —————————————————————
Take a look at the video. Even as I fatigue I allow my shoulder blade movement to extend the set effectively. And notice the set up of the cables relative to the arm path.”

Train those rear delts with bent-over lateral raises! Rear delts are often forgotten about, but important to train. .
Try using a weight you can hold at the top of the movement and contract the muscle and then very slowly lower the weight. .
Warning ⚠️ if you don’t train them this way already, you’ll have to really drop the weight you use! 😃👍

My favorite rear deltoid exercise!  This is always second in routine having warmed up on reverse pec dec flyes.  I got straight in, 2 sets of dropsets. This is a partial movement letting dumbells pull your arms down as low to floor as possible. Use rear delts to pull dumbells out as far as can, the feeling is kind of like when you were a kid and would push your hands on a door frame as hard as possible for 30 seconds then step forward and it felt like yours arms would float up to the sky. Aim for 20-50 reps per drop. Mix it up using higher or lower inclines and varying rep ranges.
