I bought this lemon juice the other day and was pleased to have found organic lemon juice in a squeezable container. However, soon after purchasing it I thought about what it actually is. It’s a plastic container shaped and colored in a way that resembles a lemon. It’s organic and not from concentrate, so it Is real lemon juice. But what about the natural, untouched essence of lemon juice from a living and real lemon? I don’t get to feel and see and smell the source of where this particular lemon juice came from. This bottled lemon juice I am assuming went through a manufacturing process and transformed from what once was a bright, sun bathed, tree grown, yellow lemon into a plastic (BPA free) yellow container that has art on the label reminding us of where it came from. Sure, this prepackaged lemon juice is easy and convenient but it feels like I’m losing that raw element of handling an actual lemon from a tree, slicing it, having to deal with the seeds, and squeezing a wedge into a glass of water. This can unfortunately be said of many products these days. What do you guys think? Nature or convenience? Are we losing touch with nature by buying products such as this? .
Ideal weekend scene. Since I get coffee at work all week (thankful) I enjoy amazing coffee out on weekends when I can, although I can easily make it at home I know. Oat milk lattes and mini scones please ☕️커피 Happy Friday 🙌🏻
Meal prep can feel like an overwhelming idea sometimes. Designating an entire day or afternoon to prep food for the whole week?! I am sharing how I have navigated and adapted an easy way of always having something healthy I can whip up in a snap. Head over to the blog and take a short read. (Blog address is my Instagram name .com) I am still having to avoid typing it out or my post gets deleted 🤷♀️🤦🏽♀️ #healthyeats#mealprep#fitfam#lifestyle#nutrition#realfood#momofboys#healthblog
I was dreaming of open face tuna salad on fresh sourdough bread while swimming earlier. I add scallions, celery and today I wanted a bit of spice and I just happened to have a serrano pepper. A light dusting of pimentón for an added smoky flavor, avocado and chopped tomatoes. I love colorful plates. #tunasalad#sandwich
Bye bye shadehouse...One of the perils of farming on rented land is having to replace food with lawns when we move on 😏. On the bright side, we’ve taken this as an opportunity to expand and have built one three times the size at our new place 💪🏻. Our next generation of microgreens are coming along very nicely and are available for some more amazing cafes, restaurants and retailers to order now 🌱. Watch this space as we set up our new little farm - transforming another paddock into a pumping veggie patch. Belli Park, here we come! #youngfarmers#diy#innovation#growfoodnotlawns#beyondorganic
Had some nocciola (hazelnut) gelato today in Capri and I was thinking about these chocolate hazelnut balls I made a couple weeks ago! They are super simple and taste like Nutella 😋 simply blend 6 large dates, 1 cup raw hazelnuts, 2 tbsp @rigoniasiagousa Nocciolata hazelnut spread, 2 tbsp yacon syrup (can sub honey/maple syrup), 2 tbsp raw cacao powder and 1 tsp salt in a food processor! Roll into balls and sprinkle some course sea salt on top if you’re a salt fanatic like me 🙋♀️ Hope everyone is having a happy Friday!
SWEET POTATOS ARE FREAKIN LIFE... yup I said it. I effin love sweet potatoes so much I swear I could eat them all year 🤷♀️ but my favorite way to eat them has to be sweet potato fries. Crunchy, salty, and freakin dreamyyyy 🤤
Here's my go to recipe:
1. Set oven to 400°
2. Skin sweet potato and cut into even strips
3. In a bowl, toss fries with avocado oil, pink salt, cracked black pepper and a pinch of garlic powder
4. Lay them out evenly on a lightly sprayed baking sheet and baked for 35-40 minutes (or until CRISPAYY) flipping half way through
My favorite way to eat them is topped with cilantro and dipped in dreamy pool of @eatwholly
guacamole. Honestly it's a must 🤤
Aqui o molho vai aderir bem a massa.

It’s day number 30 of 42 today of my @medicalmedium cleanse and I feel like this is becoming a pretty stabile flow of living. I wake up and go out to pick my celery in the garden to make my morning juice, then I prepare my heavy metal detox smoothie, which I actually didn’t get today, as I was out of bananas. But I made myself a big fruit plate instead and added the seaweeds and spirulina to my dinner salad instead. I’ve spent some time working on my website today, but I was having technical problems and eventually gave up. Back to it tomorrow! I went to see the doctor and the nose is looking good. I can breath in a way I never could before. What a relief! And he says it’s only gonna get better! Yay! I hope you all have had a lovely day! Sending you much love 🍐🍃❤️
Holy.Wow. I made some incredible chocolate chip cookie dough balls today!!! They’re gluten, grain, and dairy free. I used @enjoylifefoods dairy free mini chocolate chips in the cookie dough as well as for the chocolate coating and drizzle. Don’t feel like you can’t live life to the fullest just because you can’t/choose not to eat certain foods. Expand your horizons to the culinary world beyond mainstream ingredients. ❤️
