Spectrum is one of two new colors I released on Friday. It’s a new version of an old favorite, Rainbow Trout. I haven’t been able to successfully duplicate Rainbow Trout since we moved so I tweaked it, added some more color, and used a different dye style to get Spectrum.
I’m casting on a pair of socks with this colorway for my knitting group’s sock KAL and I can’t wait to get this on my needles!
Shown here on Squish there’s also a few skeins left on Sock.
Mornings are finally cool and crisp + the leaves are starting to turn. The mid-to-upper 80 degree afternoons make me hesitant to coordinate a #chocswap , maybe next month I can resume 🤷🏻♀️For now, I’ll content myself with celebrating the first day of Autumn with @harpermacaw’s Fall Spice bar thanks to @timetoeatchocolate 🍂
Pumpkin spice seems to be synonymous with Fall. This fragrant blend of cassia cinnamon, elephant ginger, pembra cloves & stone nutmeg have been sourced from small farms around the globe by @burlapandbarrel. Though the generous blanketing of inclusions are chunky yellow in color, clove is the first spice to hit my senses.
Glossy, medium brown colored bar with a highly detailed mold design. Sharp snap, slow to melt, a little crumbly when chewed. Initially textured on the tongue, once the inclusions have been rasped away, the mouthfeel is creamy and velvety.
I was hoping to have enough left over to make a hot chocolate; but at the rate I’m going, that’s not likely!
The Autumnal Equinox arrives to the Northern Hemisphere tonight, how are YOU celebrating?!👇🏻

I cannot stress the importance of looking after our skin daily.
The skin is the largest organ in our body - so why don’t we treat it like it is?
The skins functions and ability to maintain itself are truly incredible!!
HOWEVER, after the age of 25, all these processes begin to slow down and this is when we really need to start helping our skin out.
What happens to the skin after our early twenties? - collagen production begins to slow
- cell proliferation decreases resulting in a build up of dead skin cells and a tired or dull look to the skin.
- static lines begin to form; dry, dehydrated skin will speed up the appearance of static lines (lines present without muscle movement)
- UVA/UVB damage begins to become visible; pigmentation, broken capillaries, increase in fine lines and wrinkles
The list honestly goes on and on, but if we can start with looking after these basic functions I can guarantee you will see an improvement in your overall skin texture.
Comment below and let me know if you want me to do a video on my top tips for assisting the skin in the above processes
