To anyone who feels like giving up, let me give you some solid advice, DON’T! You were not made to be a quitter. When it looks like all hope is gone, and it’s getting to dark to see, darling that’s when Jesus lights his candle! Whatever is worrying you right now, lay it down. Lay all of it down. The book of psalm says that He is near to the broken-hearted. The book of Matthew says that He is our rest. The book of Isaiah says that He is with us, even when we go through deep waters. You only see the chaos and confusion, but God sees the blessings that are about to pour out. Darkness trembles at the mention of His name. Waves go still at the mention of His name. He is the peace maker, the light in the darkness, and just as He spoke, “peace be still” to the storm, so will He in the storms in your life. So when it seems a little stormy, just remember that flowers can’t grow without a little water. #WarriorNotAWorrier#ReadyForBattle
Should have posted this ages ago, but we didn’t get to take her for a spin until this past weekend. HUGE shoutout to @gargoyleforge for the absolutely amazing custom LARP shield w/ the Martineau family crest that I gave to James as a wedding present. He absolutely loves it, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. If you’re ever looking for some quality custom foam products, hit them up! ⚔️ •
After a couple of non- @trueheroesracing posts... we’re back to it again! Dave Mackay getting tucked in down the start finish straight! If you look closely you can see the ‘battle face’ in full swing! #TrueHeroesRacing#CadwellPark#Scrawn
Introducing another of the valiant artists competing in our secret warehouse party art battle next month:
Artist #3 - Andrea Hobson, Hebden Bridge
1. Describe your art in one sentence:
"My work seeks to connect the act of making with the medium and subject in an organic way, often using non-traditional tools and materials"
2. Greatest influence in the art world: "Depends which exhibition I have seen most recently to be honest. I saw a 'new to me artist’ exhibition of Alice Neel which impressed me. Relaxing whilst painting is good. Grayson Perry says that he doodles with felt pens whilst watching TV so that ideas can pop up like little monsters - love that"
3. Greatest influence outside the art world: "As a fairly conventional person I would say Bjork or Eddie Izzard - creative people who defy convention push me in the right direction - if only a bit"
4. Tell us something unusual about yourself: "My sister and I can speak to each other in a secret language - our parents taught us"
