Ever make a time capsule? I just opened one I made from 20 years ago with my high school, all women’s choir group called Voices Etc. We toured Europe together in 1998 singing over 50 songs we memorized. In two weeks, we sang in the city of Prague in the Czech Republic, in a school in Slovakia, in Vienna, Austria and Munich, Germany. It was a life changing experience.
We had a reunion in Madison, Wisconsin recently to reconnect, reminisce and open up our time capsule. 📦 We weren’t really sure the significance of a lot of the things, to be expected I guess. But one of the items I put in had a lot of meaning to me. I couldn’t believe it! I uncovered a song I wrote on the tour bus in Europe! 🎶 I think this might have actually been the first song I wrote, and until very recently, the only song!! I had forgotten all about it.
Life has taken me in all sorts of directions. 💫 But I discovered that I may have circled back to a passion without even really planning it consciously. Makes me feel sorta on track I guess. 🔍 Uncover anything from your past recently that wowed you? #timecapsule

Call me Nancy Drew! 🔎 I’m connecting the dots from my past with the present. I hope to find 🔍clues as to who I most authentically am now. I’m also looking for inspiration for lyrics to songs 🎶 I’m writing and new stories I’d like to write. My blog The Annie Lynn Club is where I’m capturing my notes you might say. 🕵🏻♀️ It’s different from a lot of other blogs because it’s not about the latest trends or local places to try out. I’m not a fashion or lifestyle writer. What I’m sharing is more like a “micro-museum” or memoir, it’s on the lighter more humorous side and starts with an inspiration coming from the stuff I’ve saved. I worked as a Professional Organizer for over seven years. People would always ask me if my house was super organized. I’d smile and say, I try my best. 🤷🏼♀️It’s definitely less organized now that I’m a mom. 👨👩👦👦 But my answer never meant I didn’t save things and hold on to things others might think I should get rid of. The keepsakes and items I’m writing about on my blog for some reason spark JOY in me though. They bring back a flood of memories that are stories I feel compelled to share. Like an archeologist ⛏I’m scrapping away at the pieces to uncover the reason I believe I’ve truly kept each item. I want to 👀 look back at my childhood because I believe I’ll find a familiar part of myself I have missed. I’d love to say: “I’m so glad I found you, I knew you were still there. Welcome back!” ✏️ Click on my profile to turn back time.
