Do you work on your active and passive flexibility every day???
Active flexibility means using only your body and strength to get deeper into the stretch.
Passive flexibility means using something external to stretch like I did with the wall in this picture. You could also use a partner, yoga strap, rubber band, stick, etc. Or you could even pull yourself deeper by grabbing onto your body.
Flexibility training is a huge part of our daily training regimen and we used to neglect it. We suffered a lot because of this. If you'd told us a few years ago how fun and rewarding flexibility training could be, we wouldn't have believed you. Training your body to explore new ranges of motion opens many more movement possibilities for you throughout your life.
Get comfortable in every and any position and never stop learning and growing. You'll get injured less and have much more fun in your body.
