Happy Father's Day to my dad, Ray, the cattleman's son who became a milkman, fruit picker, car salesman, country recording artist, entrepreneur and world's fastest jet powered truck driver and owner - and gave us kids the most fantastic, unconventional upbringing - with life on the road, fuelled by the power of songs and love. This pic is the whole family together on tour with the jet truck, Waltzing Matilda, in the early 80's. 😉👍🏻 #fathersday#fionakernaghanmusic#raykernaghan#waltzingmatilda#family
In celebration of National Vinyl Record Day!.. My dad's 1976 debut LP. It quickly became a multi platinum seller. Dad was the first independent artist
in Oz to advertise his records on TV. All these years later the former drover's kid and truck driver is still going strong with many more albums and gold and platinum awards to his credit - and a Living Legend Award! Way to go, dad.
Time travel! How's this shot from the 70's, of me and the kid next door when we were about 5?.. It was taken during filming of one of my dad's TV commercials for his album featuring the golden oldie, A Daisy A Day. All afternoon Christopher and I had to run up and down a hill covered in daisies to get just the right shots. I think my pay was the day off school and a box of chocolates - that my siblings scoffed before I could get to them on top of the fridge!.. That's show biz I guess! Lol. :) #fionakernaghanmusic#raykernaghan
