Day 2 of the writing challenge: ..
..Write something that someone has told you about yourself that you have never forgotten:... Here is a little bit of set up before I tell you what my coworker told me that I have never forgotten. 💓🙏 I am a respiratory care practitioner (RCP). I work at a wonderful hospital (in my opinion) with coworkers that make my days go by with ease (most of time), humor, happiness, great teamwork, and a satisfied feeling at the end of the day. When I first started on my journey as a RCP, I worked as a respiratory equipment technician. I worked at a bigger hospital, which is a sister hospital to my current hospital (so many hospitals lol). While working there- at the first hospital, I managed all of the respiratory equipment, supplies, and other various tasks. During that time I yearned to learn & grow. I absorbed all of the information I could, so that one day I could be the best RCP that I would hope to be, and always open for more growth. The staff in this department were a hard bunch to make all happy. They bickered amongst themselves, talked behind each others backs, made it harder for people to learn, grow, and move up in their positions. This of course wasn't always the case, but I observed this a lot. People did not stop this behavior from happening and the boss at the time continued to use this behavior himself. This took a large toll on my soul. It made my heart heavy and my days sad. I had a rough time moving up in this department too, even though I did everything I could (in my eyes) to make my situation better, but not all staff were willing to teach and help others grow. So I decided to make a transition to my current hospital where I work, which I have now worked there over 5 years. Woohoo! 🤗This was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I have grown so much in my career and I only hope to continue to do so! 9 months into...

Hi everyone! So a lot of people who face slip-ups with their health view them as failures and setbacks. They view it as if everything they have progressed in and the accomplishments they have met in their health has all been for not. They feel like they have to start all over again or they get so overwhelmed that they just forget about all of the reasons why they made a change in the first place and go back to their old ways. That is so far from the truth! Every slip-up, bump in the road, road block, sideline, and detour are all the things that are needed specifically for you so you can change, grow and become stronger and wiser! They are there to help you, not harm you. God sees those situations as perfect opportunities. He knew it was going to happen and He allowed it to take place in your life for a reason. Usually when we are facing problems and hard situations those are the times where real growth occurs. You’ve learned something of what not to do next time, or what you should do, or how to do it better. It prepares you to make better decisions in your future to benefit you and all those around you. It’s true in your health and in all aspects of life. Each and every one of us are going to have a slightly different journey. Those slip-ups you face are part of your journey. When you think about it, we never make slip-ups or mistakes. We actually make a big step forward in our progression because we now learned something new and we know what to do next. Change your perspective and you’ll begin to see your life through a whole new set of eyes! 🌱 Remember to love being raw everyone and put a big smile on your face today! Have a good one and I’ll see you next post! 😉
🇱🇷 Why am I so excited about 🍎3 red apples and 🥒2 cucumbers? Because they have been my saviour when I had a mild migraine. I have suffered from very bad migraines for more than 20 years and when I found @medicalmedium - doing the protocol for 3 months I was off my medicine. I would still get migraines once in a while, but most of them were mild. And this is where I discovered, thanks to #lifechangingfoods book, that 3 red apples and 2 cucumbers was helpful to migraines. So whenever I would get a mild migraine or headache I would immediately eat 3 apples and 2 cucumbers - and then the pain most of the times would go way. That was such and relief to know, when I had decited to stop taking medicine for good. Food is really medicine and I wish that was known in the medical world. I remember my migraine doctor(one of the best!) he laughed at me, when I asked him if food could help migraines. See my other posts from not that long ago, where I talk all about the true causes to migraines and how I healed from it❤️
If you read this post and don’t have migraines or headaches apples and cucumbers also helps so many other conditions and symptoms. They are really
foods that can change your life. 🍎The apples are very good at calming down your system also an inflamed nervous system and an inflamed intestinal tract due to viruses an bacteria.🥒Cucumbers has a cooling effect on the glands and organs like a hot stagnent liver, overused adrenal glands and kidneys that are struggling with filtering toxins. They are a very hydrating food which is important when you are chronically ill, because we are all chronically dehydrated💦...

The past year I have been greatly inspired by Josy at @everydayseekerofmagic 🌌💓 She started a fun challenge this month to write something meaningful from a list of writing prompts. Each day you write from one new writing prompt. I'm going to join her in on the fun for 30 days! (also I took this picture a couple of years ago when I visited Portland, OR and just recently found it. It makes so me happy!! 🌞🌻😊)
Anyway, Hopefully you all enjoy and feel free to join along!
10 things that make me happy:
1. My cats. They have such big personalities. Louis is outgoing, mischievous, loving, & adventurous. River is sweet, rambunctious, curious, & careful.
2. My body. It's my vessel for my soul. It moves me from place to place; walking, running, dancing, hiking. It grounds me - sitting, loving, stillness, breath- in & out ♡. It protects me - from the elements, from bacteria & viruses or any other ailments - fighting every day, creating an environment of health and vitality (as long as I give it the right amount of rest, nourishment, love, and movement). ..3. Sunflowers - For following the light; the sunshine, for growing tall and reaching their greatest potential, for it's wonderful pop of yellow color, and sometimes red & orange too. & for providing sunflower seeds. They are also easy to grow and many are brilliant for bees, birds and other wildlife. 🌻
4. Hiking. Hiking to the very top of a mountain, hiking around the mountain, and hiking down into a canyon. I have the desire to hike all over the world; wherever I can! To places of wonder; high and low. ♡
5. Deep connections with human beings. Diving deep in conversations about love, happiness, science, the world, life in general, everyday feelings, etc, etc. And enjoying time with them; learning & growing. ♡
6. Positivity. It makes me so happy when people are energy givers; giving positive, uplifting energy to others that leaves the people around them feeling more energized and more positive about life & at least feeling this way in that very moment. This is something I strive for daily!

🇱🇷 This is how much celery - I juice in a week🌱 I have been drinking about 16 ounce of straight celery juice every morning on an empty stomach for more than 1,5 year now, and I will never stop! Why am I doing this? Because celery juice is the most powerfull juice there is and drinking this miracle juice is one of the best things you can do for your health.
Celery juice has helped me heal from migraines, IBS, chronic fatigue, adrenal fatigue, brainfog, allergies, asthma, sinusitis, nervepain and more(Thank you @medicalmedium!)💪🏻 Seriously - if you can only make one healthy change in your life - drink celery juice and never look back🙏🏻 .
Why is celery juice so amazing? Celery juice(not just eating celery - has to be straight juice!) helps produce and raise your precious hydrochloric acid. If you think you have too much hydrochloric acid - like I have been told so many times by doctors - it couldn’t be further from the truth. Most people have too little hydrochloric acid in their stomach, so we need to do something active to raise it again to propper digestion, to get rid off bloating, acid reflux and for the health of our liver and pancreas. .
Drinking 16 ounce of straight celery juice every morning can help you heal from any chronic illness as well. If you are chronically ill - drinking celery juice every morning will help you heal every system in your body. How can this be? Because chronic illness has so much to do with your level of hydrochloric acid, how viral you are, the state of your liver and how inflamed your nervous system is. And celery juice helps with all of this, because celery juice is the best thing there is...

Fruit only didn't happen today... 😅
I was realllllllyyyyy craving greens, so just had to make myself a salad!
A mix of greens, sliced mushrooms, chopped broccoli, sliced pak choi, grated carrot, zoodles and coodles, cherry tomatoes, and garden peas, topped with a hemp teriyaki dressing that was just sublime! The recipe for that is by Lissa of @rawfoodromance .
That dressing was pure WOW. Made my salad so flavoursome! 😋😋😋
Was so easy to make too! I'll be making that one again and again! 😄

PLANT POWER 🌱💪 Starting my weekend off with this tRoPicAL smOotHiE bowl 🍍🥥🏝🌞💦⭐️🌊
-1 frozen nana
- 2 cups pineapple (chunks)
- 1 chunk fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- Splash of lime juice
Low fat raw freezer cake! 😄
This was the perfect combination of chewy, crunchy and melty. That base is just 😋👌! It's gluten free, soy free, low fat, and nut free!! 😆
I made it a few days ago, so it's been sat taunting me since then! 😅😬
But... I figured since it's 95% made from fruit, it's technically still within the guidelines of me eating fruit for 10 days... And... I'd been out running errands with my cubs, so was realllllllyyyyy hungry when I got home. 😆
I don't have the exact quantities of what I used for this, as I created it oh so quickly whilst Nova was being bathed by her dada, but I'm estimating that I used these amounts.
This consisted of:
●12 Fresh dates ●5 pitted medjool dates
●3 TBSP raw carob powder ●3 TBSP mulberry pieces ●1 TBSP buckwheat groats
●4-5 Ripe bananas ●1 Tsp maca powder ●tiny bit of water
●Raw carob powder dusted
●Black mulberries ●white mulberries ●Dark sweet cherries for serving
1:Put All ingredients for the Base into a food processor. Blend until a sticky dough is achieved.
Press into an 8 inch cake tin that's lined with non stick parchment. Put in the freezer whilst preparing the top part to stop any fruit flies homing in on it.
2: Blend the ripe bananas with the maca powder to get a thick gloopy texture. Add water if necessary. Take the Base out of the freezer.
Pour the mixture on top of the Base. Use a spatula to get the remainder of the mixture out, then level off smooth. Don't forget to lick the spatula after you've finished.
Dust with raw carob powder, then decorate however you like with the black and white mulberries. Put in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
Take out 10-20 mins before serving. Cut a slice.
Serve with sweet cherries! 😄
This is the 3rd creation I've made using mulberries, maca, and raw carob powder! I wonder what else I can create?
My giveaway for these products ends tomorrow (Winner announced Monday!)!
Regrann @babbiemillenium - The more we delve about the foods we eat, the more we can understand about taking care of our bodies. G'DAY! I AM BACK! 🙋🏾♀️🇦🇺
(Yeppp, as tanned as this emoji above 😂)
I unplugged for 6 weeks in Europe 🇬🇷 annual family vacation - so please accept my sincerest apologies for M.I.A status 🙇🏻♀️
And before you ask, of course it was amazing! 2 countries, 6 islands, an uncountable amount of sightseeing, beach hopping, shopping, eating & unwinding, could it have been anything but that?! 🏖🛍🍴😜
I absolutely love holidays but at the same time it's also sensational to be back home! You know that feeling of home? The indescribable, but familiar comfort of a place that is yours, that is safe 🏡
I am positive everyone has atleast one thing they miss when they are away, like their bed, pets, shower pressure (oh yeah!) friends or perhaps family..... well I massively missed the freedom of being able to whip up tasty snacks whenever I had the urge to. When you're in unfamiliar territory it's tricky to get the produce you need to make something in a dash when those cravings kick in
Todays post-gym snack, smashed avo 🥑 with 🍋, radish and cherry tomatoes on toasted sourdough bread smothered in EVOO! Just because I missed avocados like the desserts miss the rain! 🤤😋
So thankful for the quality produce,
terrific variety and availability of fruit & veggies here down under! 🐨👏🏾
Being thankful is a feeling; being grateful is an action. I know that there aren't many of us whom dwell daily on how blessed and lucky we are to have the lives that we do! #countyourblessings
Well to wrap this up 😄 I'm happy to say that I am back & re-charged with a full heart ❤️ Can't wait to be active again in my happy place (my kitchen)! .
