TRAINING TIP - Working reaction time during the Combat Carbine course. Who else is training their reaction time? —-
I am a big proponent of a pro timer to judge how well you are improving on your skill development.
A simple drill to work on reaction time is to set the pro timer to delay, press the button bring your firearm up to the target and place the firearm on fire. On the first note of the time, fire the shot. If you wait until the end of the beep, you already lost a quarter second. Watch the video for the example, the click you hear is the shooter reengaging the sear. Have a great week and train hard!!

I gotta stop these hiatuses of not shooting. You get so rusty so quick. So here’s trying to stay warm and shoot in 35 degree raining weather. Gotta love “fall” time in New York .

When it comes to firearms training, we seem to constantly find ourselves training in controlled, unrealistic environments, standing in one place, shooting paper targets...etc.
How often are you incorporating realistic training, engaging multiple targets, using your off-duty concealed carry firearm or incorporating other challenges?
An overwhelmingly high percentage of police involved shootings take place in or around their vehicles. Are you training for the threat or are you going through the motions?
Pretty good drill for shooting and transitioning on the move. I'd like to stretch it out a bit and add forward movement. Shooting on the move is a skill that really helps your game. #trainingtuesday -

@3gunaa - We have a 2-gun match this weekend! A couple weeks ago we put together this short drill to work on pistol transitions between targets (paper and 5x5 steel flippers) with a little movement. #3gunshow#rangeday#practice#gofast#9mm#sti#pistol#uspsa#ipsc#3gun#shooting#traintowin
