Well that's me my pockets may be empty but my heart will always be full.
An year and a half before, I took an incomparable decision of my life. To travel alone to a place I had never been before.
On the next morning I took my first train from Bangalore to Kattpadi jn. It was a 3 hours journey and I reached there at 12 pm. From there I had to reach Villupuram inorder to catch the Chennai Rameshwaram express. All I had with me was a little money and as it was a sudden decision there were no time for any reservation's as well. Yep I was traveling in a second class and I loved it.!
From Villupuram it was a whole night journey in the Rameshwaram express. Then I met 2 guys from Delhi who were singing the whole time. In between I managed to sleep for about 4 hours that night.
I reached Rameshwaram around 3.30 am and along with the pilgrims I started my journey. I spend an hour and a half beast the Rameshwaram Temple had my breakfast, freshups and continued.
I took the first bus to Dhanushkodi.
They dropped me at a point where no outside vehicles were not allowed. There was a stretching road to the so called ruins of Dhanushkodi but only fishermen's vehicles were allowed. I remember about a van service which I never took. The view was out of the world, I couldn't resist my self so walked the whole road. I even made a video on it. From the roads end I again had to walk another two kilometers through the water to reach the tip.
I wanted to take a whole bunch of photos . But all I did was grazeing up on that horizon . At that point I thought even a distraction of my camera would ruin the vibe.
But these very few images that I took that day will be forever special for me.!
Yes I only had a little money, I was exhausted, I was scared and I was alone.!
But I tried ! Trust me it's worth the risk. #GoSolo
