Thinking pancakes for breakfast 😍😍😍 ・・・
Its still a little icy outside so maybe a brunch or at least some strawberry pancakes are in order? This is another picture from my nieces’ newborn session and also a picture of persistence as I failed the first time we tried this picture. A few days later at part 3 of her studio newborn session we revisited it and had success! This picture could not have been possible without the help from my sister @heatherg_nc and mom @cfaulknc who were on each side of #chareliz for the composition of the composite images needed for this image. It’s 4 images composited together for the one final image. - image by @redbridgephoto
It's been a lazy, dreary Friday! Grandma and Grandpa visited and during quiet time, instead of editing (yay for a break!) I "binge watched" 2 episodes of Suits! I consider that binge watching when I have two crazy babies that rarely let me watch a commercial, let alone an entire show! ☺️
Next week I'm back at it with a birthday session and waiting impatiently for 3 little squishes to make their arrival! Then before we know it, it'll be Christmas! 🎄
Oh - and preggo mamas, you're going to want to pay attention to the feed next week....something fun is heading your way!!! 🤗
This picture makes me so happy!! I think the love and excitement of being new parents is just so evident ❤️❤️ Congratulations on your beautiful baby Kaylen! Cannot wait to share more pictures of this little princess!
I am posting this ADORABLE photo of this sweet girl, but really I want to share something with you guys here in the caption. 😂😍 This morning I started thinking about writing my "2018 Year in Review" blog post because last year it took me SO LONG to do it in one day. I started thinking about my biggest accomplishments of the year, and do you want to hear my best one so far...
I went all year without upgrading my phone! 😂😂 If you are close to me, you know I talk about this OFTEN. It is my goal to never upgrade again, but is this even surprising...my dad still has his phone from 2007 (lol! 😂). •
No, but seriously, this quest has saved me so much money. The key to my success? I never update my phone. LOL it is true, my phone is still hanging out somewhere between october-november 2016. I am CONVINCED that they make you update your phone so that it can't handle the updated software & forces you to buy a new one. #justsayin
But who am I kidding, as soon as I am no longer able to use Bitmoji or Snapchat, my butt will be in a Verizon store in 5 seconds. 😂(Swipe to see my reaction.) Here's to another year with my trusty old cellular device. 📱✌👵
Trying to teach my kids to color outside the lines....to stay colorful and weird and uniquely them. You too, IG friends. ✌🏻 A little throwback to summer and color because everything is brown and dead (with a good mix of dirty snow) now. #doubleexposure#kodakcolorplus200
#tbt to that time I met @kabrown for an in-person workshop in Texas! Continuing education is critical to learning new skills, building on the skills I have and ensuring that you and your baby have the best newborn session!
Kelly Brown is one of my favorite newborn photographers because her #1 priority is newborn safety. It is so important that as your newborn photographer I put your baby’s safety above any pose or shot we want to get.
My newborn sessions are baby led, meaning I let your new baby tell me what they need. If they need to eat, we stop and let mom feed them. If your baby is in need of snuggles, I take time to help them feel safe and secure. If baby doesn’t comfortably go into a position for a pose, we switch things up and find another adorable pose that they are comfy in.
Swipe to see me working with Kelly and one of my images from the workshop!
When your family grows by 10 tiny toes it's a change for everyone, especially for little people being promoted to big brother or sister. Including siblings in the newborn session is a great way to help them feel just as important and included.
During your newborn session we take photos of your new baby with their older siblings, but I also like to do photos of each sibling individually. This not only helps them feel special, but if gives you updated photos of all of your babies without having to schedule a separate session!
Now scheduling maternity and newborn for Spring/Summer 2019 due dates!
Grace was put on bedrest shortly before our session, but she escaped to the Christmas tree farm so that we could sneak these precious maternity photos in!
One of the things I was disappointed about in moving was knowing that I wouldn't be able to shoot Marcus and Grace's baby's newborn session in January. Sometimes you just know when a client is a good fit for you, and that was the case with these two. Luckily, though, I was still able to photograph their maternity session just before I left town! Check out the blog today to see more from their session! #mwpmamatobe
I am a true North Carolinian, so when it snows, I don't go anywhere! But now we're going on day 3 and cabin fever is real! So the kiddos and I are breaking out of here. First stop is Starbucks and then we're off to my favorite camera store to check out some new backdrops for the studio! ❄️
Speaking of the studio, this cutie is visiting the studio in a little over a week for his First Birthday cake smash session!! Can't wait to see the Cook family again!

I am always so impressed with the nurseries that I photograph at my in home sessions! I mean, look at this...I feel like it could be in a magazine. Meanwhile, 2.5 years and 4 area rugs later, and we finally 80% figured out how we want our living room... I want to redo our bedroom...actually, I want to decorate in the first place. It got kind of skipped over in that department. Mostly because @dglipetzky and I apparently forgot how to use our dressers, and mainly use the space for the clothes we don't want to put away...😂 (you think I'm kidding.) Any ideas?! We like greys, navy, white....stripes....ok, I already want to give up. And that sounds like my living room. 😂 Suggestions welcomed!
Callahan Stone Williams turns one today! Cal, it’s been a year of learning and transition, but you’ve continued to love us through it all. So much so that you’d actually prefer to be in my arms at all times 😅, but I digress... Your smile and sweet personality light up my life day after day, and watching the unique parts of who you are emerge everyday has been so much fun.
It’s amazing to think that one year ago you were a 6 lb 6 oz helpless newborn baby. And while it’s bittersweet to bid farewell to your first year, it’s more sweet than bitter. Your future is bright and promising, and the thought of watching you grow and evolve into the person God made you to be in the coming years makes my heart swell. I love you, Callahan, and I’m forever grateful that I was chosen to be your Mama. Happy first birthday! ❤️ #mwpnewborn
I’ve been a little MIA lately. I took a couple of days off to enjoy my birthday and some family time! Hope to finish up this sweet newborn session as I’m cuddled up to my computer. Stay warm friends. It’s cold out there!
Swipe left to see how hard I’m striving to achieve consistent color!!! Across devices and printers and all of the things. 😅 Know that when you hire a photographer, you’re also investing in their editing (style, skill, experience, and devices/color calibration!).
I can't believe 2019 is only a few weeks away!! The schedule is quickly filling up.
January only has a few sessions left, February has plenty of availability and March and April newborn sessions are starting to fill up. If you want to get on the schedule in the spring, now is the time to do so!
2019 will also bring some changes to KLP, so be on the lookout in a week or two for some announcements!
Link in bio go get on the calendar!
I am looking for a newborn baby 8 weeks or under to photograph for a new project. Ideally in the Raleigh, NC area but I’m willing drive a bit. Please DM me if you are interested in a free newborn shoot for your baby! Need to schedule before Christmas. All the photos will be yours to keep. ❤️
