Beat the Blerch Half Marathon complete! 🐌🏃🐢 This is my fourth year participating. Love the medal this year! I checked the forecast yesterday and saw it was supposed to rain. Well, it poured. I'm taking some of the rain and trail home with me. 😂
Paced two 2:30 halfs in two days
Day 1: @pnwmarathon half in Eugene, OR
Day 2: @justtri Lakewood half in Lakewood, WA which was much tougher with lots of rain, hills and trails!
Viira ran 4.5 today gearing up for her @scoobydoo run! We are planning to try to get a quick time for her! (Although if I'm being honest I'll probably be the one holding her back😂)
Obligatory awkward/unflattering post-half marathon picture from today, my mom’s mad photography skills, and last year’s post-10km photo. I did not have a great run or a great time, but I finished and under 2 hours 15 will do and gives me some goals. My dad on the other hand had a great run AND a great time. 🌲// I lost my running mojo a little this week 🕵️♀️ I’m tapering for @thegoldenultra so it’s totally fine to be running less than normal but I’m definitely not suffering from the kind of #tapertantrums where you want to run more but can’t because #rest , it’s quite the opposite - I don’t have much interest in running at all! 🤷♀️ I’m not too worried, my energy levels are notoriously up & down 🌀(why no yo-yo emoji 😒)...however, it would be nice if they come back in time for #goldenultra2018 otherwise Saturday in particular is gonna be a looooonnng old day 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ •
Todays run with @realc85 was fine, not bad, not amazing, it was fine. We actually enjoyed puddle hopping despite the monsoon & the fact the photo turned out blurry 🙄. I was very happy to be able to stop at 12km though! 😉 So, we shall see what the next week brings I guess! 🧝🏻♀️ (⬅️I just like that emoji)

(Note that I only realized yesterday that this run was on Saturday 😁 wasn't ready in terms of training either but happy with the result anyway! 😎)

Sooo I have been down with a bad cold/flu since Wednesday. At 7:45 this morning I was still deciding whether or not to go today... but I can’t resist a 10km race, especially when I know I have to lose any expectations of a PB. Just finished a run and can officially say Florence has got nothing on Shamrock 2017 🤣 The rain and wind was a welcome change from the heat and humidity of the last few months!
