C H E E R S🌈🥃 I’ve been almost a decade free of disposable water bottles. Carrying my reusable, everywhere I go, like an extension of my body.
But I was still guilty of throwing away plastic lids from coffees and numerous plastic cups from protein shakes and smoothies to name few 😬
For #plasticfreejuly and the foreseeable future I’m taking it up a notch. This little jar now accompanies my water flask.
Super easy. 🧦the recycled sock keeps it from clanking against stuff in my bag and keeps my hands cool from hot ☕️ 🌈 (thanks @fairy.phi for the tip 😉 )
What sustainable item can you convert to this month⁉️
**WARRNING..long, emotional, PASSIONATE post**
Today my community suffered. Our world is a negative place. People are so quick to tell you about what you did wrong, rather than what you did right. Judgement is through the roof. You see more hate than you do love. Depression is all around us. BUT I stand here to tell you that Im fighting LIKE HELL to make this world a better place. I’m one tiny person fighting against the world, but I’m feisty and I will have victory. I DARE YOU to join me in making this world a better place. Share a smile with a person on the street. Ask someone how their weekend was. let someone cut in line in front of you. reach out to that friend that you keep thinking about, you have no idea what’s going on in their head. Give tough love, but don’t be an asshole. 👈🏻 Give advice, but don’t be a know it all. •
It doesn’t take much to turn someone’s day around, why not turn the world around?! I live in a sunshine and cupcake kind of world. I’ve always been “picked on” about always being positive and naive. I love my sunshine and rainbow world, and I will continue to spread that shit all over. If anyone has an issue with that, then I pray you’ll see the light eventually. But for the time being stay in your own little negative corner. 😘
My heart goes out to those who lost their lives today, their families and to all those who protect us. 💙💙 lets make a change starting now. I will rise tomorrow and everyday to “try again” to touch someone’s life in the most positive way.
GO FUCK YOURSELF y páguese a revisar UD más bien 😘
Muchas gracias a @ficopaco_ por las fotos y a @wancitocubero @warnerykimo por le bolso y la banda que están muy bonitos 🌈

My life as children's book illustrator had it's highs and lows ~ creating this particular illustration certainly was one of the high points. The commission from Hodder Wayland to illustrate a poetry book - 'Rainbow World' - directed at teens and focused on celebrating world unity and diversity, was a true delight ~ and was made even more glorious given that I was given free reign to produce. Believe me ~ being let off of the leash as a kids' book illustrator was a rarity, so I took the opportunity to indulge and create something beautiful. The book remains one of my favourites of the 40+ books completed over 13 years. I particularly like this entry, a Chinese poem ~ for finding the joys to be found in simple things has become a pillar of my life these days... and looking back at this work brings me to a moment of realisation as to why I am now an 'artist' and no longer an 'illustrator'. To be the latter is to be thrown from one project to the next, with no community to work with, no relationship to had with fellow creators, no pauses to be savoured; creating like a cog in a machine. With the former, I get to do all of the above, save the cog part... As an artist I do get to go walking along the river; I am offered the opportunity to connect with my experience, to be present, and now I really do 'know' the joy of the fishes... 'The Joy of Fishes'
Chuang Tzu and Hui Tzu
Were crossing Hao river
By the dam.
'See how free
The fishes leap and dart:
That is their happiness.' Hui replied:
'Since you are not a fish
How do you know
What makes fishes happy?
'Since you are not I
How can you possibly know
That I do not know
What makes fishes happy?
'If I, not being you,
Cannot know what you know
It follows that you
Not being a fish
Cannot know what they know.' Chuang said:
'Wait a minute!
Let us get back
To the original question.
What you asked me was "How do you know What makes fishes happy?"
From the terms of your question
You evidently know
What makes fishes happy. 'I know the joy of the fishes in the river
Through my own joy, as I go walking
Along the same river.' Chuang Tzu
