Round 5 of Drift Masters GP was a Tough weekend at Hockenheimring. Practice on Friday went really well, then just before qualifying the engine dropped a valve. The SB Motorsport made the decision to send me out on just the 7 cylinders in hope we could get a qualifying score in. With the car limping, I managed to score the 29th qualifying position. After rectifying the dropped valve issue overnight, we got some good tandem practice in on Saturday morning before the main event. During our Top 32 battle we had contact, causing the steering arm to break and unfortunately ending the weekend early. Unfortunately that is drifting, and contact is sometimes unavoidable. But we had an awesome weekend none the less, and it was a great event as always. Nigel pushed really hard all weekend, and managed to make it all the way through to the Great 8. The level of driving and the technical track layouts keep increasing each round, and I cant wait to get to Mondello Park for Round 6, the final in a couple of weeks. As always, a big thank you to the team, sponsors and everyone that helped with keeping us on track over the weekend. – Baggsy (obp Motorsport Brand Ambassador)
