Understanding if you’re a person who needs a kick in the butt or one who needs to hold back is an important key to success. Some run so fast they burn out while others have a hard time even getting started. One is not better than the other. You simply have to know and accept who you are and go from there. That is the starting point from which you need to find the steady pace that will move you forward towards your goal. A pace you can maintain and speed up from if needed - but always listen to your body. We tend to hail those who work without rest, but there’s a price to pay for that. You’re not a machine. You need to recharge. In short, remember these two things: 1) The only way to reach a goal is to start chasing it. 2) Life has multiple finish lines, so don’t burn yourself out trying to reach just one of them.
