Who's enjoying playing with their Liberty scraps? 🙋♀️🙋♀️This fun challenge from @ava_and_neve is nearing its conclusion, but there's still plenty of time to make something! This little log cabin mugrug is made from 1.5" strips, and is a free pattern from @quiltpatchappli... also available as a wonky birdhouse block. My mugrug is part of the final prize in the scrap challenge... Along with patterns, notions and of course Liberty! #libertyscrapchallenge#mugrug
OMG! Justin at @keatonquilts
just liked two of my posts! A NYC-based quilter and soon-to-be author, he creates the most beautiful pieces ❤
You should give him a follow if you aren't already and P.S. he does a lot of amazing giveaways

I'm really loving all of the awesome #artvsartist & #quiltvsquilter posts so I thought I would join in on the fun for #flashbackfriday 😁🙆🏼♂️ Narrowing it down to just 8 pictures was really hard! I highly recommend looking through the hashtags, it's really fun to see all the beautiful artwork along with their inspiring makers 😀
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! I'm so happy the weather in NYC is finally warming up again
🍓I've blogged about this super handy needlebook, which is also a sewing case as well. Thank you to all the contributors of inspiration on the #sunnyneedlebooksal hashtag, and especially to Mary @sunnydaysupply.🍓

An itsy bitsy needlebook is a fun size for just a few needles. It's just 2.5" x 2". The next one I have in the works is much more heavy duty, as I think it's useful to have a few different versions for different projects. Horses for courses 😜
This little sewing mouse needle book was a Christmas pressie for my mum in law, and I get to see it when I visit! Does anyone else see something they made ages ago and wonder how they did it? I rarely take notes when I design something, and I always wish I did later on! For a beautiful finish, always use high quality wool felt, and rotary cut it for accuracy. My ocd can't stand wonki cutting🙈😂
Scrappy hexie quilt progress! I'm joining slabs of about 40 hexies together and then sewing together. Planning on making making it twice this long, too make a decent lap sized quilt, around 60 in.
Are you creating with your Liberty scraps? I've started some 2in clamshells and am really enjoying the effect of the black quilting thread! Join in to win some great prizes each week through the month of July thanks to @ava_and_neve
🌺🥀My #tildasunkiss pillow is on the blog to read about. This range is just full of rich florals... I just had to create a field of blooms with their faces being kissed by the sun! Link in profile 🥀🌺#makersgonnamake
I've missed out on #missingmarket , #quiltvsquilter and all the other quilting fun lately because I'm Canadian, eh? Therefore I must be outside every second I can while this beautiful sunshine lasts :).
I took 3 days off from going to the studio and sewing and it felt SO GOOD! 🌞 Do you ever feel burnt out, even when you have your dream job? What do you do for a creative refresh?⠀
Give a little squeeze and a hug to your little ones today.
There is something about stuffed animals and dolls that one cannot resist! I think it’s the need to squeeze... lol what do you think? We are amazed at how popular @lindsayannostrom sweet Sunshine Girls are and her fabric line is delightful. It’s fun to watch shoppers reaction when they see the fabric and say “this is perfect for my granddaughter”. Then they start planning the pillow case, dress, quilt, apron... all kinds of projects that this fabric can be used for. @simplyeilene does many pattern projects for us on team ADORNit. This doll is one she did. So a big shout out and thank you to her!
Chiming in for #missingmarket with @gogokim and @thesewingloft⠀
5 things about yours truly: ⠀
1️⃣ I live exactly mid-way between Seattle and Portland, but just far enough that I hardly visit either and often miss out on things like #quiltmarket ⠀
2️⃣ I dream of owning a brick & mortar business⠀
3️⃣ I always need background noise when I’m sewing or quilting or handstitching, give me your podcast recommendations! I love shows like @creativewomensleague and @goaldiggerpodcast ⠀
4️⃣ I’ve never left the Pacific Northwest... unless you count a couple days in northwest Montana? ⠀
5️⃣ my husband and I are going into our SEVENTH summer together. Woah! Time flies! I still have as huge of a crush on him as when I first saw him at a random barbecue at the end of my first year at @westernwashingtonuniversity in Bellingham. ⠀
Hi! This is me #missingmarket and now flat on my back missing everything, because I just put my back out! Can I just say that back selfies are hard...who wants to see up your nose!?
5 random things about me. 🗨️I have six kids, and now I'm even a mother in law. I can't even... 🙊🗨️I have fibromyalgia, and am on a quest to fix myself. Some days I think I might be. 🗨️I'm so proud of my hubby and kids... They are all such loving thoughtful people. God has blessed me richly. 🗨️I'm on my 18th year of homeschooling. It's been such a fun ride. Our motto is 'never stop learning'. 🗨️I have sewn and crafted for over 30 years now. Creating is part of me, and I've passed that on to my kids, who are artists, composers and engineers and hopefully life long creators.
This glorious rainbow creation is Deidra @quiltyobsession 's version of my🐰 Bunny Patch 🐇. She chose to make a square version that uses just two of each block, and is an even quicker make... I love the fabrics she chose!
Deidra is giving away a copy of the pattern on her blog... Head over to enter and see more of her lovely pics! Versions of Bunny Patch are starting to pop up around IG, and I'm so excited 😆🤩
Hi hello just thought I’d say hi and tell you all about me + what I’m about, if you’re new here. I’m Paige, the gal behind The Wild Sweet Pea Quilt & Embroidery Co. I want to put beautiful things out into the world and I’m a firm believer that making handmade home decor products is one of the best ways to do. I think that handmade quilts spark joy that can be passed down through generations. Handmade products tell stories. So anyways I’m a textile + fiber artist specializing in quilting & embroidery, and I dabble in other sewing & alteration & clothing upcycle type things; as well as blogging and pattern writing; and most importantly, being a wife and mom. I like to be busy and I have so many ideas and I just want to do it all. Also, you can view the stories highlight reel for more info about me + my biz. So now, tell me— who are you, what do you do, and where are you from? .

Home 9:45pm. This hashtag #quiltvsquilter has really made me think about the evolution of my own quilting. Here’s a sampling from 12 yrs of being a quilter including my first and my latest. #libbyquilts
Me ha nominado @latelier_de_maya y encantada con ello. Gracias.
Gracias.
Nomino a @mariajosedelacruz7
Y a @mariennena
#quiltvsquilter 👋Hi!!! I am (CedarFork) Sarah! Living and #quilting in central Montana! I love all things #HST , #precut and whatever color and design take my fancy at the moment! Straight line quilting is my go-to! I like to finish up what I start and try to keep my WIPs to a reasonable minimum! I enjoy collaborative efforts and am a chef for #ModaBakeShop , had a quilt published in #McCallsQuickQuilts last fall (bottom row, center!) and am dipping my toes in the pattern writing pool! My blog and my #Etsy shop are both #CedarForkStitches 😊 xoxo!
This says so much about me as a quilter.....if the 8 I chose - 5 aren’t quilted (sure would love to find a quilter in my area), one is very close (commission), one is my first ever started (not ever finished) and one is one of my favs (a bee quilt). I really need to step up my game!!
Thought it is unfair not to share my version of #quiltvsquilter and #artvsartist after virtually meeting many lovely quilters and makers. So 👋. Here are my own favorite quilts from the past three years or so that I could access via my phone. It is a fun exercise to review your own work from the past. I only wish I had a right amount of energy and time to make more.
Joining the #quiltvsquilter fun! I didn’t make all of the quilts pictured but I did quilt them all. Longarm, freemotion quilting is my passion along with my Grandson Darwin! ❤️ I didn’t make him either but I did make that cute little bucket hat he’s wearing. 😁
#quiltvsquilter#somethingrosemade joining some of my Bee Sisters and friends on this fun link-up. These are some of my recent, favorite and what was I thinking quilts. I do love fabric, lots of fabrics. @piecefulwendy, your turn now!
Y’all I’m beat. This softball season has been seriously messing with me and my creative energy. I tell myself I’m going to sit down and sew on the drive home, and then I just go home and lay down until I fall asleep. So here’s my contribution to be #quiltvsquilter (am I too late? Does it matter?) because I have nothing new to show (not even a decent recent selfie! This is from my college graduation nearly 3 years ago). These are some of my favorite quilts I’ve ever made/quilts I don’t show here often. I have a vague plan to redo #jennyssunsetquilt in the upper middle as a sunrise quilt and I have another star chart inspired piece, but that will definitely have to wait. #quilt#quilts#quilter#quilting
