Here we have the earliest V72 tube amplifier that i ever came across, serial number 80 made by Maihak in Hamburg short after its development in the late 1940s, early 1950s.
The V72 was intended as a microphone and general purpose amplifier for use in the german broadcast system and tens of thousands have been made by the Siemens corporation after the initial run of just a couple hundred of wich we see one here next to a later Siemens made V72 serial number 10249.
I regularly see these starting around 1200 and going up to about 25000.
This Maihak V72 shares the same basic design with just two small changes in circuit compared to all others i know.
Interestingly enough there is some minute differences in metal work and how stuff has been made where the Maihak clearly has some parts that have more of a handmade character, more rough on the edges, less refined etc.
I have so far only checked sonics briefly but my acoustic guitar through a vintage Neumann U47 through any of these two pictured V72 does sound quite alike to me on first listen.

I am learning sooooo much from this book. It really dives in to how hormones play a huge role in our weight and how the “calories in vs. calories out” mindset is not always the answer. If you’ve ever been on a journey to lose weight, you probably have experienced this...especially if it’s something you were doing for an extended period of time.
Below are a few of our hormones and the role they play:
👩🏼🏫”Ghrelin tells us we are hungry.”
👩🏼🏫”Peptide YY tells us we are full.”
👩🏼🏫”Adrenaline increases energy expenditure.” 👩🏼🏫”Thyroid shuts down energy expenditure” (through its control of metabolism) ”The question of how insulin causes weight gain is a more complex problem to which all the answers are not yet known, but there are many theories.” When I digest this (😂), I consider several other factors to help answer the question of why and how we gain weight:
Body composition; understanding that more muscle tissue tends to lend to a faster metabolism.
Age and gender, as men typically have more muscle than women.
Stress levels and how well we navigate a stressful time (cortisol does crazy things to the body so please practice some OMMM🕉🧘♀️)
Sleep: duration, and quality
Activity levels, not including exercise
Turning this back to nutrition, understanding how what and how much you’re intaking impacts your insulin levels and tuning into those other hormones, will help you make better decisions all around.
And as a side note, while I mentioned I’m learning a lot, I don’t mean to say this book has the secret to your weight struggles. I haven’t finished it yet....
It’s simply another learning tool with great points and research; especially when combined with other nutritional facts and movement habits that will help you continue to grow in knowledge and be the best you (Smarter!🤓)
I’d love to hear of other great books like this if you know of any.
#wimd seriously my new favorite diffuser blend! Thieves for immune support, peppermint for all the reasons and northern lights black spruce to raise our frequencies... it is said that Norther Lights Black Spruce has a frequency of around 500 mhz... and that is amazingly awesome! If you don't know anything about frequencies and wellness, Google it!!!
