Someone stopped me earlier today and spoke with me for a couple minutes asking about my leg routine. Super cool dude and it was nice to receive a genuine compliment. Try and give as many compliments you can because you never know what it may do for someone. Have a #quadtastic day #whyivasa#vasa#vasafitness#quads
Anyone else ever struggle to build up the legs?! 🍑👿 🔑Keep at it! This is a HUGE muscle group and it takes time & persistent effort to build up them glutes/hamis, calves & quads. 🔑Consume the right amount of calories & protein and the right “Kind” of calories! (Highly recommend a Post Work Out stack —I have a few I can recommend, just DM me) 🔑NEVER skip leg day!!!! Push yourself. Do 8 sets of squats instead of only 5!
So today's leg session wasn't up to scratch made a few changes to timing didn't eat enough and felt sluggish the moment I walked in. So after sadly hitting 140kgs for reps of 3 I moved onto front squats weight was light and rep where just not happening.
So as punishment I went and did walking lunges in strides of 12's twice over per set, I got about 30 sets in and ended up on no weight by the end couple.went to me press and was happy with the results but still beating my self up about the squats not being up there. so went and did another half dozen sets of lunges. Then into extensions, then hammie curls then stiff leggs then adductors and abductors and of course seated and leg press calve raises.
The point is, even if something does go right at first, keep pushing forward you never know just how things will turn out. (For me my legs are in a new world of hurt and my mind is at ease) .
LEEEEEG DAAAAYYY!!! So today was quad focused with three rotations on squats and two rotations on quad extension with the addition of plate lunges as a superset. Dear lord my legs are toast right now. My goal, aside from getting bigger legs, is to hit 400lbs on squat. My max ever is 345lbs so going for that 365lbs was a little hopeful. There was no chance of coming back up with it. But it was good to try, it lets me know where I am and how much harder I need to push. Plus, now the weight on my back won’t feel as unfamiliar to me when I try it again. A lot of squats is strength, but it’s also a lot of mind over matter. On that last rotation of squats, I did a wide stance, basically like doing sumo squats. I’m trying to make the vastus lateralis (the giant slab of meat on the outside of the leg) to grow and really pop out. I feel like that’s definitely going to be a challenge for me but a challenge worth going after.
And for those that’ll ask, the tattoo says:
“Live your life so that the fear of death cannot enter your heart. And when it comes your time to die, sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”

My own worst enemy... I HATE lunges ☠ with a passion, which is why I make myself do them. Plus they actually work 💪
This video was after barbell squats with 25s and leg extensions at 65lbs and the 3rd set of lunges 😫
