My good friend Wendy Lowe together with her sister Judith run the Ashgrove Dance School and each year have their Annual show run over 3 days at QPAC. The Ashgrove Dance School has been part of the Ashgrove Community for more than 100 years. Principals, Wendy and Judith celebrate their Sapphire (45) Anniversary of teaching in 2018. Their dear mother Theda who was an active member of the Dance School and the Creative Designer and Seamstress passed away earlier this month. She will be greatly missed. Theda got awarded an OAM for her services to the Performing Arts in 2013. ...
You can buy tickets for the show which is from 22 to 24 November, from QPAC.
What an amazing performance of Giselle by La Scala Ballet as part of QPAC International Series. Our Director Lillo Guarneri together with La Scala’s Director Frederic Oliveri, principal dancers Maria Eichwald and Claudio Coviello after the@opening performance. #qpac#teatroallascala#ballet#giselle#vivereallitaliana
Kaha and I added a little bit of culture into our date night last night... a live performance of "Who's line is it anyway?" I haven't laughed that hard in bloody ages, it was amazing! The guys are just as funny as they were on TV! 😂 #whoslineisitanyway#qpac#datenight#hilarious#daddy 😂😂

Once in a lifetime opportunity to watch #Giselle the ballet being performed by #TeatroAllaScala Company from Milan Italy 🇮🇹 for the #QPAC international Series 2018 in Brisbane. ✌👍 #Giselle is one of the most classical, passionate, enchanting, romantic, magical, emotional and hauntingly beautiful ballet ever! 😍😚 Music by #AdolpheAdam is absolutely exquisite. 🎶🎵🎹🎻 Just an absolute privilege to witness 👀 this extraordinary ballet company with front and centre row seats 💖 #LaScala
We finished our run of Teatro Alla Scala’s Don Quixote last night with a phenomenal performance from the whole cast. Singing the each countries’ National anthem behind the curtain for the opening night was something special, the banter the supernumeraries had on stage every performance was hilarious and the Italians are the most cheekiest buggers pulling pranks during the show (as a send off to one of their long time serving performers) 😂 and there were a few dramas behind the scenes haha Thank you @teatroallascala for giving me the opportunity to be apart of your history and please visit Brisbane again, we welcome you with open arms! Toi toi toi Chookas!
And Don Q did not disappoint either! Very enjoyable performance; great to see dancers really looking as if they were enjoying themselves. Particularly impressed with Vittoria Valerio's Cupid. I have seen so many travesties of this variation, but she completely gave it new life with her sparkling head and eyes and musicality. Enjoyed both Martina Arduino and Marco Agostino as leads and Christian Fagetti was an impressive Espada. I don't think anyone will ever match the nobility of Helpmann as the Don, but Giuseppe Conte was nonetheless very good in the role. Again, wonderful to see clean technique from the whole cast, more great corps work and artistry in abundance. I hope this company will return in the not too distant future. #lascalaballetcompany#teatroallascala#qpac#balletbrisbane#lascalaballet#donquixote#donquixoteballet
What a fabulous night! Ate the most delicious food, had a few sneaky drinks and saw the magnificent Bill Murray!! Highlight was when he got off stage to throw me a rose but it squared me right in the face 😂
