P H Y S I C A L
One of the things we discussed at yesterday’s masterclass was to be deliberate about enhancing our resources; one of which is our PHYSICAL
We committed to setting routines and working out was part of those routines .
What makes up YOUR daily routine
IMPROVE YOUR CABLE FLYS.
I still train. 😂
Realised I haven't posted a training video in a while.
Tip For cable fly's
These are one of the most butchered exercises I see in the gym.
Make sure your arms travel in the same line as the cables.
See here I've the cables set up high.
I'm bringing my arms down in the same direction as as the cables are running. The cables should run directly through your shoulder, elbow and wrist.
If I was to just bring my arms straight out, I would be losing tension in my chest as the load would be shifted elsewhere.
Don't forget to squezzzze 😁
Try it & feel the difference 😁
7 days, 14 lbs down and my energy is GREAT!
Day 7 of water fast
14 lbs gone
Very few hunger pangs...maybe three times today?
The one thing that I can say about fasting is that it is truly a journey to self and a testament to self will.
Lessons learned this far: *There is a difference between physical hunger and mental hunger and it's important to recognize which is which so that we feed correctly *I won't die if I deny myself food even though my mind is screaming that I'm dying on day 2 of the fast *The real issue in fasting isn't with our bodies...its with our minds. So we have to learn to quiet the voices that tell us to quit or give up, remember our WHY and press on *It's not enough to just address the physical component of fasting...we are not one dimensional. We must also address the mental and spiritual. So while we are fasting from food, we must continue to feed our mind with positive mantras, motivation and encouragement. We must feed our spirits with our connection to a higher being...our source of strength. And it helps to have people who support your journey...they can lend an ear and tell you to keep pushing when you want to eat. It takes a village for adults too! Just choose your village wisely. *I am not a dog so I should not award myself with food. I am eating to live, not living to eat.
There were more personal revelations as well, but I wanted to share some simple, cool ones that we all know but REALLY hit home as I fasted.
Anyhoo...I am not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow morning. Stay on the water fast or refeed during an intermittent fast. Either way, this is a really dope experience and so worth it!

Bauchi has been added to the list, I remembered also that we ran in #Jos during bush camp, I hadn’t started tracking my runs then, so should I add it or not 😁
