It’s taken us a long time to get to this point.
Having long conversations with my dad again feels surreal. I wasn’t sure I’d ever have these moments again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
7 months ago he made the choice to go to rehab. His addiction to alcohol finally hit a breaking point. He called me asking for help & I swear that was the scariest and happiest day of my life. I was SO scared that it was joke. That he wouldn’t follow through. That I was getting sucked in just to be disappointed. I was mad and angry. I was sad and frustrated.
But I was faithful and prayed.
You truly CANNOT help someone until THEY want to be helped. I’ve learned that along the way with my fitness business but it was especially hard learning that with my family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m beyond grateful to have my dad back in my life 💗
New hair, who dis? My newest color started out as a smoky violet that was just to die for!!! It has faded quite a bit over the last 36 hours. First picture was taken at 8pm on Wednesday evening, and the second photo was taken this morning. I want to stress that I was not careful about retaining the vibrant color during washing because I am looking for it to fade. The color I requested was silver-lavender, and that is exactly what this color is already fading into! Most people, I think, would find this kind of fast color fade to be disappointing, but this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you so much, @keenyahodges, for knowing how to give me precisely what I was hoping for!
