So yesterday was probably one of my worst days.. I cried a shit ton yesterday, its like I couldnt stop. I cried because it hurt so much to breathe, it hurt so much to walk yesterday. I went to the store to go pick up some drinks and when I got to shell i could barely get out of the car. This super sweet gentleman saw I was having troubles getting out of my car,so he offered to help me out and into the store. Which made me cry even more because ive never been in so much pain that I'm blubbering and crying so hard that I can barely see let alone that I can barely walk.. He helped me into the store and I carefully and extremely slowly got my items and paid for them. I went to turn around and start walking to the door when this even sweeter older lady came up and held the door open for me, then SHE WALKED ME TO MY CAR... I've never felt this grateful but at the same time so infuriated and humiliated with MYSELF. Here I am 23,and I can barely walk without falling or crying out in pain. And theres this sweet old lady, probably in her 70s, helping me to my car and asking if I'm going home or the E.R., and if she needs to drive me.... I end up thanking her and giving her a hug, and i drive my ass home. It took me 10 minutes to get out of my car and up the stairs into the room.. Yesterday was horrible.. But at the same time it made me regain some hope in humanity. So I hope today is good for you, kittens.
Happy Tuesday, friends! I’m starting out this (hopefully) productive day of getting all the stuffs done with some pupper snuggles, because what better way is there to start off a productive day?! My opinion: Nothing.🤷🏼♀️ So what’s your favorite way to start out the day? Does it involve your favorite fur-baby?💕🐶 Let me know in the comments!! I’d love to know!!😁💕
Meet Verona! When we found Verona with her brother Coop (also a HAR dog!), she had been a stray for a long time. Not only was she super skinny, she was missing patches of fur all over her body due to flea/tick infestation. (You can see how red and irritated her skin was in the "before" pictures.) Her foster parents have been taking such good care of her for the past three weeks -- medicated baths for her skin, lots of kibble and treats to help her gain weight, and extra cuddles to help her adjust to living in a home again. Almost 3 weeks later, she is a different dog! Her fur is growing back and she's put on almost 5 pounds. She has a new sparkle in her eye and is back to her true self- a playful girl with a beautiful smile!
If Verona sounds like your kind of gal, submit an application under the "adopt" tab on our website, hopeanimals.org!
