When are we supposed to grow with the city?
The river is growing with us it has given us Nallas in the admist of city, it is giving us in return what we gave her... She is behaving just the way people have treated her. And We all deserve this... When our perception of attaining Purity will overcome insanity ....
Rivers are not virgin anymore the untreated effluents are tremendously affecting our waterbodies and the ecosystem around it,and hence the nirmalya of our near and dear ones are flown here... Are we giving justice to them this way?
#a inch of waste, plastic, rubber, paper, cloth, etc also matters.... #puneinstagrammers#pune#punekar#punediaries#puneclickarts#punecity#trellingpune
So I always knew that traditional Indian langots would never cut it for me. The risk of pee soiling my sheets, clothes, the floor and basically having to clean up all that mess was enough to put me off babies altogether!
So then, the obvious option was disposables, albeit with 2 caveats - the high expense (think around 50-100k for full time diapering) and the risk of keeping my baby's skin against plastic 24*7.
And then, one fine day, I stumbled upon the concept of 'Modern Cloth Diapers' and threw myself in researching them. MCDs are convenient, eco-friendly, less expensive in the long run and IMHO a fashion statement on my babe's bum ❤️.
As I begin my CD (cloth Diapering) journey in a few weeks, I'll share many more inputs of my experience.
Featured in the image are 4 beautiful prints from one of the most impressive Indian CD brand I could find @superbottoms. I scored all of the prints in the Newborn Cover Diapers (Periwinkle, Purple love, Ikkat Chevron, Baby Hearts).
So does this mean that I won't be touching disposables at all? On the contrary, I am going to begin with a mix of both - disposies and MCD's and see how my journey takes me further..
