I used to hate Mondays.
I don't anymore. 
It was just a matter of adjusting my attitude because the fact is even when I was working in an agency and I loved my work, challenges aside, I still hated Mondays.
.

I asked myself what the issue was. In a nutshell the idea that I had to go do work again, was my problem. So I started to work on my mindset. I started to visualize. 
I pictured my day being something filled with work that I loved and accomplishing goals. I focused my mind on the fact that it was another opportunity to work with another individual or brand that would add to my experience and portfolio. .

It also helped to remind myself that I work Mondays so I can get paid πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ€£
Hating it doesn't make me productive or add money to my wallet at all.
Once my mind was on this visualization, it got better. Make no mistake, I still have rough days and hard Mondays especially. I still have moments I want to smash something but the point is I now see different. I no longer fear, hate or dread Mondays.

Visualization is important. It can transform a dull and dreary exercise/event into something you look forward to and excel at. It will make you work better and life easier for you when you're able to think of things differently. 
Think of what you stand to gain. 
Think of the benefits and end game.
Think of why you do what you do and you just might start to enjoy yourself.

Don't let anyone ruin your reputation or your business with lies about you or your service. If you hear a lie or something bad put out there online or in an email, respond to it. 
Don't say it doesn't matter or people won't believe it. In today's world a "little issue" can blow up all over social media and leave you in a very bad place, even when innocent, so don't be mute.
Even if it doesn't get to that point it can ruin other possibilities for you if such bad news gets out. Respond and set the record straight. If you have evidence, present it. 
Even if some people don't believe you, you know what you've done and cleared yourself. Don't stay silent for any reason as to a lot of people that is silent affirmation that you are indeed guilty.
People can be very mischievous and cruel. Don't let them get away with such things. 
I don't play around with my source of livelihood. Neither should you.

7. This is another area business owners fail. .

For one thing many of them assume it means you must text and call your client every second of the day or you must always be speaking about something. No, that's not it. In fact that only happens if you have that level of rapport.

What this updating means is that you inform your client about relevant developments as you work. Maybe someone who was meant to be hired as a contractor has come on board. Maybe something you needed to procure has been done. .
Maybe it was a change in plans or the timetable for deliveries or you got the email they sent and are downloading the contents. Perhaps you have finished the first set of downloads and illustrations on their work. .

Whatever the issue is, positive or negative (especially if it is negative) make sure you keep them posted. This makes them feel part of the process and that they can trust you to be open, honest and deliver on time. 
Most services seem to just collect their feed and "go dark", waiting for the client to keep asking how far. Some never ever even say anything even when the deadline is past and the client has to keep calling and fretting and eventually threatening. This is bad for your business.

See people are spending money. It is okay for them to ask. Especially if they are new to your business or just you as the service provider. Put them at ease. That's not the time to fight and abuse a client. If on the other hand they keep pestering you for information, let them know how it works and the relevant info they should be expecting.

One major reason a lot of clients abandon service providers is the lack of consistency. Unfortunately not many even take the correction when they are told.

A classic example of this is the issue of internet service providers in the country. You'd agree with me that a number of them started out so well, but their efficiency and even costumer care began to wane and eventually some became completely deplorable and they lost many subscribers.

Ensure you deliver your best time and again. While it is understandable that many things can influence your work from natural hazards to holidays, health, operational costs and more, you should constantly think ahead and create ways to cushion the effects of this so it doesn't happen often and lead to a service decline.

In the event where such is inevitable, there are ways to actually communicate properly to clients, rather than act aloof or be rude and dismissive of them. They paid for your services. 
It is not their business what goes wrong. That's your concern. Your job is to deliver and if you aren't, you need to explain why and do it properly or you will lose them to someone else.

By being professional I mean you are clear on what your job is and how to achieve it. You're also clear on your client's role and what they stand to gain. This means everything from start to finish is handled in a way that shows you are knowledgeable and capable.

Even the way you talk and write matters. I cringe when find short forms like "gd am" "sup" and "I cn do it. Js trust me 4 ril" in offfical correspondence or when prospective clients are conversaijg with service providers in public discussion threads.

Be professional at all times. It makes a big difference between being taken seriously and being seen as a joke. A lot of people walk away from folks and businesses who sound like they are children or confused about what they are trying to do. Even worse they conclude they are scam artists who just want to "eat their money" and run away.

3. Keep your word. 
There are few things as annoying as a service provider that does not keep their word. I used to work for this dude who had a knack for boasting to clients about things he can and would do, thus roping all the staff into it. In the end when it failed (and it often did) we would get the blame. 
I left there after a while. It was frustrating. Especially when he would be told about this and ignore it. Your clients deserve the best you can offer, after all they paid for it. Just don't start over promising and saying stuff just to impress them. 
You're going to regret it at some point when you can't deliver on your promises and that will look bad for you because when a client is dissatisfied they will tell others.
That kind of thing loses you potential clients (and sometimes current ones) and by extension, money. I'm sure you don't want that.

2. Educate your clients. 
Some people will never say it but we know that some clients don't know what's best. It doesn't mean they are stupid. Not at all. It does however mean that they can make mistakes asking for something that will not be possible or won't work well.

It is your job to then educate them. Let them know what works as a professional. If all you've done is just do what you're told even when it's wrong, then you have failed as a service provider.

If they still insist even after what you say then that's a different thing. You can then decide to do it or not. This is very important. I've found that about 8 times out of 10 I'm actually able to convince my clients to see things ftom my perspective and the few that don't, still leave with a clear understanding of what I am saying to them.

When a client complains to me about anything, I take the time to ask questions. I assume nothing. In the end if they are wrong, I don't get rude either. I explain why they are missing it. Some will learn, some won't. Bottom line is I listen to their feedback and use it to get better.

It is very common for parents to divorce or separate and one of them (statistically the fathers do this more) abandons their child. This is a horrible thing to do.

Just because your relationship or marriage to your child's mother or father ends, it doesn't mean you leave the child alone. Thank God for single mothers and fathers who step up and raise the child properly but it doesn't make it right.
