Don't be to proud to accept help at modify things to make sure you're safe and you get it done.

Personally I can't handstand walk or muscle up so i modify those components to get the movement pattern and challenge myself.

Our last move I thought I lost my chalk, I was so frustrated, turned out my husband trashed it not realizing I used it. He thought it was the kids for outside 🤣 you better believe I ordered more quickly after I found that out. I’m a big believer in chalk. I feel it helps my grip and keeps my reps higher. Pull ups aren’t my friend, but with chalk, I guess I don’t mind their friendship.

I've been working on getting my first 5 pull ups, but with these I can crack out 20+ and practice the full motion! A nice treat once in a while. Between helping the ladies with their first pull ups and chin ups, and the deadlifts with another one, it was a full body all day ☠

1.5 Rep Pull-Up/Push-Up countdown ladder.
Great combination for upper body strength & muscle development. Your core is also forced to stabilize your torso, as an added bonus.
- Start by performing 10 Pull-Ups. Without resting immediately do 10 Push-Ups.
- Rest 15 -30 seconds, then perform 9 of each exercise, then 8, 7, 6... all the way down to 1 rep of each.
- As you progress & improve begin with a higher number to start the "ladder", such as 11, then 12...
- In the video I did 1.5 reps for both the Pull-Ups & Push-Ups to make it more difficult, but you can use traditional Chin-Ups, Push-Ups, or any Row variation, paired with any Push-Up variation. Today was a damn good day. Never EVER in my entire life have I exercised without a shirt on. Not even in the privacy of my own home. This has honestly been a secret goal of mine since my fitness journey began. I see these fitness girls on YouTube/social media that pretty well never wear a shirt to the gym, and they look amazing. This never made me feel bad about myself, but I’ve always low-key wished I felt confident enough to do it myself. WELL TODAY WAS THAT DAY 🙌🏻

8min EMOM of 3 strict pull ups, followed by a 10sec negative pull up and 3 elbow push ups.
Not seen is my horrendous 13:44sec mile on the air runner, and 300 double unders with 10push ups every min until complete.

15 lengths of farmer carries with the hex bar @ around 90lbs, and lastly some snatch balance practice and some light 55lb squat snatch. also PRd my handstand walk!! It was a great freaking day!

I’m very proud of this woman. @abrausen is one of the runners who I coach. When she first started eccentric pull-ups, she could not control her body weight and now look at that slow controlled motion! Second, I’ve got a thing for strict pull-ups so when I see Amy lower all the way to straight arms, I’m a proud coach. As women, if we want to prove our pull-up strength, make them strict and allow no bend in those elbows (unless injured)! Next time I post about Amy, it will be to let you all know she’s mastered her first strict pull-up. 😉

💥PULL -UPS 💥
The pull up is a fundamental back exercise and it often looks easier than it is.
‼️ The most important part of a pull up, as with every exercise, is form. ‼️
All too often I see people swinging their legs, lifting their knees etc, using momentum in order to get up to the bar.❌ ✅PULL - UP TIPS✅
• Tense your core to prevent swinging.
• Focus on pulling your shoulder blades down, back and together.
• Use a more relaxed, open grip.( when you use a closed grip, it shifts more attention to your arms. When using a relaxed grip, it allows you to focus more on your back! )
• Squeeze and hold at the top of the movement for maximum contraction.
• Go slow on the eccentric phase of the movement. Take 2-3 seconds on the lowering phase. ( This allows your muscle to stay under tension for longer which will help to build size and strength ). ‼️If you are unable to perform a pull up with good form with your body weight, start by using an assisted pull up machine or resistance bands. This will help you develop the correct form by developing and strengthening the muscles necessary before you move on to using your body weight.‼️

Подтягивание на турнике - это базовое упражнение для развития мышц спины. И самое, действенное на мой взгляд 😎🤟🏻 ⠀

Я довольно долго и упорно пытался развить, так называемые «крылья» или широчайшие мышцы спины тягами штанг и гантель в наклоне, различными тягами блоков и даже... Становой тягой 🤦‍♂️ И лишь, когда я решил ну его на хрен эти тяги и перешёл на подтягивания, то мои крылышки по-немногу стали расти 😜 Я не утверждаю, что тяги - это бесполезные упражнения. Они хороши, но лишь, как дополнение для развития мышц спины. ⠀

Как говорится, крылья-крылья - главное хвост!!! 😹 Ну а, если серьёзно хотите мощную спину - ваш союзник в этом бою в первую очередь - ПОДТЯГИВАНИЯ!!! Ну и, конечно же подтягивания с дополнительным весом. На видео у меня +20 кг. к моему весу! 😉 ⠀
