Gratitude moment: a local newspaper publishing an article about our work at the local hospice.
Anna Brummer, a singer, does the hospice work more than me, it's a weekly thing for her, with a help of a grant. Music, and singing familiar songs to patients, delights patients on a deep level. It gives them comfort and joy.
As Anna's work is usually private, face-to-face work in patients' rooms, my work - painting publicly - has a different touch. It's a moment of colorful presence and sharing together (and yes, sometimes someone falls asleep...). I've been receiving beautiful feedback from both the patients, and the nurses around.
If you hear some beautiful way of volunteering calling your name, just go for it. Yes, it's important. ❤❤❤
Felt so fitting 😏and enjoyable to paint in front of everyone that came by. Worked and completed another personal Hellboy design. Please don’t be shy to come see me at First Friday of every month at @behindtheglasscomicartgallery 😁🤘🏼 #friendlyenvironment#paint#publicpainting#acrylicpainting
