When I was in London last month, I didn't just go to Harrods. I also went to Harvey Nichols. On the pavement around the store, pink quotes were painted to celebrate the #YearOfTheWoman . ♀️ Harvey Nichols rebranded themselves for the month as Holly Nichols for their, "Let's hear it for the Girls" campaign. There were some truly great quotes from some seriously iconic women. Below are the longer ones in the third collage since they're a bit harder to see.
"Oh, you have the tail twisted. I am not what you thought. You had me down as a damsel? Darling, I'm the wolf." ~SRW.
"I raise up my voice, not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard." ~Malala Yousafzai.
"There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish." ~Michelle Obama.
"Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it, possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women." ~Maya Angelou.
"To tell a woman everything she cannot do, is to tell her what she can do." ~Unknown.
"It took me quite a long time to develop a voice. And now that I have it, I am not going to be silent." ~Madeleine Albright

“Monumental is the word that best describes the PUBLIC Silo Trail, a series of large-scale murals commissioned by arts organisation FORM and painted on @cbh_group grain silos in regional WA.,” - @thewestaustralian ‘s Inside Cover editor @thisisbenoshea just road tripped the entire #publicsilotrail ! Find it in print on Page 2 of The West Australian today, tomorrow and Saturday. Thank you Ben & The West Australian for this epic feature on the project!
Day 8 @climbontherocks all finsihed. Finsihed adding highlights to the biggest part of the stone work and the princess tower. Added the bottom door and stone locations in. And to top it off I started spraying the moon in #glowinthedark#spraypaint by @molotowheadquarters called #nightrocker . I underestimated big time how far this paint covers and I'll have to buy a shit ton more of it to finish the job. $20 per can too.
This face perhaps reflects how many of us feel in this historic time. It could be a record of expression that some archeologist will puzzle over in the future when we are long gone. #portangeles#publicart#howifeelrightnow
If you didn’t make it (or couldn’t handle the biting cold) to see the animation & video art screening at Times Square last December, here's a new chance. @zaz10ts has teamed up with the Garment District Art Festival for the weekend and tomorrow, Oct. 18, my animation "Abstrata II" will screen on the corner billboard at 41st Str & Broadway between 6-8PM. On Friday and Saturday it can be viewed inside the 10TS Lobby Gallery Wall & Street Monitors.
