Proud To Be: Sometimes you have to take a break midway to breathe, to enjoy the scenery , to recoup your energy and then keep going towards your goal/destination ... life’s lesson I realized while hiking and maybe that’s why I love hiking so much! #proudtobe#hiking#mindful#rest#thailand

Proud To Be: “Making new friends along the hike”
One thing I like about hiking is seeing new things and making new ( animals ) friend. This cool guy who looks like he’s wearing a very chic white glasses is called “ Dusky Langur” one of the four kinds of langur in Thailand.
Usually, they are very shy and hiding/jumping between trees pretty much tree dwellers but we are so lucky that they came out to play after the rain on our hike back 😊
Unfortunately their current status is still a threaten species that have a chance to go extinct so when you go hiking please be mindful and help protect their home
Tonight some of the team were honoured to attend the @commactionsuff awards evening, and receive their 'Excellence in Community Volunteering' award.
We were nominated for this award by the panel, who wanted to give public recognition to a group they believe has made a significant contribution for the benefit of the community.
Grateful thanks to everyone involved, from all the SuLSaR team #oneteam#servingthecommunity#proudtobe#privileged#searchandrescue#365days#24hrsaday
