Meet Ruari, massage therapist at FCC. He is our newest member of the team after joining us at the start of 2018. He has fitted in straight away and definitely a strong team member. He works closely with all of us, sharing new knowledge and experience all the time.
What do you enjoy about your work?
I enjoy many aspects of my work, there are a few reasons that make being a masseur very rewarding. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the job is dealing with all different kinds of muscular issues. Having a limited time to find the problem area and fix it can be tough but also very rewarding. Another enjoyable element of work is all the different people I get to meet, everyone is different, and each person has their own goals and objectives; the funny stories certainly brighten up my day.
Why sports massage?
When I finished school, I wasn’t sure what to study and at the time I was competing for Scotland at cycling. While we were racing or at training camps we would get a massage after each race or days training and I would feel brilliant post massage. It made me realise how powerful a massage could be and the positive effects that it could have. I realised that this was what I wanted to do and enrolled in a course.
What do you do outside of the clinic?
Outside of the clinic I have a vested interest in many things, mainly sport related. I am a keen cyclist so like to get some training done during the week and at weekends. I am also a keen football fan so enjoy getting out to watch some football. At the weekends I like spending time and socialising with my friends, family and girlfriend.
Thank you so much for all effort and energy around the clinic Ruari. He is available for massage on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
Meet Finn, massage therapist at FCC. He has been working with us for over a year and is highly valued as a part of the team. He is going from strength to strength here, working closely with our other therapists and chiropractors.
What do you enjoy about your work :
I enjoy meeting new people, from clients who just want to relax and de-stress to athletes carrying an injury or looking to relieve muscles punished by strenuous training regimes. I like being able to broaden my knowledge and experiences through work and client interactions. Seeing the relief and change in clients after treatment is very rewarding. People don’t know how good the body is designed to feel.
Why Swedish, Sports and Remedial massage :
While traveling I have seen many different therapies & alternative ways to help the body to heal its self. I feel Swedish, Sports and Remedial Massage give me the best results while being supportive of the body. I enjoy helping people feel better in their bodies, whether its because of an injury or just simply to relax.
What do you do outside the clinic :
Outside of the clinic I like to socialise with friends and family. I like getting out and about playing badminton and training in mixed martial art. While getting a little competitive, sometime a bit too competitive but all in good fun. At the weekends if i am not working. I like to kick back watch some Netflix or get some gaming done. Most of my friends have dogs, so we use them as an excuse for us to meet up and talk while meandering around fields and parks.
Thank you for your hard work Finn. He is available for booking Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Meet Katie, chiropractor and owner of Fullarton Chiropractic. Katie has worked as part of the FCC team since graduation and has been the proud owner of the clinic since May 2017.
What do you enjoy about your work ?
I feel very fortunate to have a job I absolutely love. It is hard work but its incredibly rewarding. I love working with people, I get to interact with so many different people every day. It is so satisfying helping different people to achieve their goals however big or small. People are so interesting and our bodies are just so complex so every adjustment is different.
I shadowed my dad’s chiropractor for one day and I was hooked. I was amazed by what could be achieved using Chiropractic. I have never looked back or doubted this was right- even whilst studying in the depths of Wales far away from Scotland and my family. I have learnt so much working closely with Penny over the years and I am grateful for where I am today.
What do you do outside of clinic?
I get out and about as much as I can. I took up running last year and I’m obsessed - especially enjoy trail running. I definitely need fresh air and exercise to relax so running is perfect. I love cold water swimming too - but let’s see if that continues in winter !! #fullartonchiropractic#chiropractic#meettheteam#partofsomethinghuge#teamwork#renfrewshire#paisley#localbusiness#paisleyfirst#paisleyis#healthcare#wellness#massagepaisley#careforyourself#proudofourwork#community
We now have our brand new Shropshire Ply Natural Colours in the shop. Local yarn dyed with natural dyes, some of which are as local as within 3 miles of home. A perfect souvenir yarn :) We've been working hard on these and it is so very lovely to get them hanging up in here. Garment quantities available in most colours (a couple of colours are a bit short after last weekend's show). More stock coming soon.
As with any naturally dyed yarn you are best advised to get everything you need in one go as there will inevitably be difference between dyelots, we just can't nail Nature down to do exactly the same thing all the time.
Watch later in the week for somethibg else to go with these colours... #newyarn#newcolours#naturallydyed#handdyed#beautifulcolours#proudofourwork#localproduct#souvenieryarn#holidayknitting#shrewsburyyarnshop
