I don’t know about you, but I’ve been through many situations in my life that have pushed me to the edge. I was attracting all these situations that were simply telling me to WAKE UP! The negative situations I went through can be seen in a negative light, or it can be seen as the most important lessons life could throw my way.
It’s crazy that I had to go through things that I didn’t want, in order to realize I had to do different. I had to think different, feel different, and start to do new things. I just knew there was more to life than struggle. I could no longer settle. My mind and body were telling me that I could no longer settle for jobs I wasn’t passionate about, relationships and friendships that I wasn’t passionate about, and living a life I wasn’t passionate about.
Most people wait until they’re at their lowest to start thinking maybe they should pay attention to WHY negative things were happening. Well it doesn’t matter WHERE you are now, right now can be the turning point you need in your life.
Start noticing when you feel negative emotions NOW. If you have the awareness to notice how you think and feel in every situation, then you can begin to have the realize YOU have the power to control what you focus on. Where your focus goes energy flows. So you can either respond to negativity automatically and feed those negative emotions with your focus and energy OR you can simply make the decision to NOT give your attention to ANYTHING negative. -
This becomes easier the more you do it. If you can catch yourself responding every single time something negative happens, and you change your focus you are unwiring that old automatic programming in your brain and replacing it with a new program. Through practice and repetition it will be easier to see the good in situations instead of only noticing the bad. You will start to feel lighter, happier, and you will notice more things to be happy and grateful for.
