WHAT?!?!?!? ARE YOU TELLING ME LUTHER WAS ACTUALLY JUST A HORRIBLE MAN WHO CREATED AN UNNECESSARY DIVIDE IN CHRISTIANITY DUE TO HIS OWN PERSONAL BELIEFS?!??!?! Yes, this is the truth, martin Luther was simply sent by satan to tempt poor souls to his heresies, and tempt he did, since his actions would lead to the idea of breaking off from a christian denomination (in particular catholicism) as very plausible, in order to fit your own personal needs. All of what he had taught wasn't that of god, but was of his own twisted beliefs, in order for it to fit his ideal version of Christianity he decided the best way to do so was to break off from the church founded by God himself and founding his own, and somehow the Lutherans have never abandoned these beliefs of a deranged man and returned to the church that was on the right side of the reformation, the catholic church. Hard to take a man preaching his beliefs when he proudly boasted about wanting sins to be practiced openly and whenever. God, I ask that someday somehow you reignite the spark of Catholicism in the hearts and minds of the protestant people's, and bring them back to the truest faith. Sorry to my followers for so much protestant rhetoric lately lol, I need to vent my concerns, I'll try and get back to my normal posting soon.
Today, July 5, my #wife and I are #celebrating 32 years of marriage.
The last three days I have been sharing with you what to look for in a spouse. On Tuesday I talked about love, on Wednesday I talked about respect, today, I want to briefly talk about commitment.
There are many people who don’t want to get married but they want to have the #benefit of #marriage , especially when it comes to having #sex . The difference between an unmarried couple living together, and a married couple living together is commitment. The #unmarried couple is not committed, but the married #couple is. A true commitment means you will remain #steadfast and true to the one you have #united with in marriage.
You will know when you have found a keeper because they’re commitment will be a natural response of their love and #respect for you, and it will be a part of their character.
If you really want to know how committed a person can be, look at their previous commitments. Normally, that is a predictor of how they will be committed to you. A healthy #commitment will produce a healthy #marriage , which will produce a healthy family, and in turn produced a #healthy community.
Among Blacks, for too long we have allowed #sexual#immorality to destroy the family. Take a look at this: 49.7% of all black children are aborted. By age 30, only 52% of Black women will marry compared to 81% of #White -women and 77% of #Latinas and #Asians . 47% of active Black Protestants #divorce compared to 26% of all other #Protestants and 24% of all active #Catholics .
72% of all black #children are born out of wedlock. 65% of #never -married Black #women have children. 85% of black children do not live in a home with their fathers. Over 80% of long term child poverty occurs in broken or never #married homes. 85% of all black children in poverty live in #single -parent homes. 70% of black males in the #criminaljusticesystem#system come from single parent home.
If we can save the marriage, we can save the #black#family and community.
It begins with you, by choosing a #spouse that will love you, respect you, and be committed to you!
Hara Castle and the history of #Japanese#Catholicism gains #UN recognition as Hara Castle to become a #UNSECO World Heritage site!
Once there were defenders of the castle, with estimates of some 17,000 men holed up with their 20,000 wives and #children . Opposing them was upwards of 125,000 soldiers and mercenaries. The revolt began December 17, 1637.
There were powerful economic factors that precipitated the whole business, but all the revolutionaries were #Catholics , living in violation of the edict against Catholicism.
Dutch #Protestants helped the government of #Japan . One of their ships fired 426 rounds in 15 days into the fort, but thankfully without serious effect. When the government soldiers finally broke through, they slaughtered all 17,000 defenders.
The following day, the women and #children were given the option of renouncing their #Catholic#faith and embrace Buddhism. They all refused, and met the same fate as the men. Thus the siege and subsequent battle ended April 15, 1638. The fortress was burned to the ground. After the rebellion was suppressed, the ban on Catholicism became even more strictly enforced.
I don’t know if there is any other place 37,000 men, women, and children died for the Catholic faith in such a short time.
Today Hara Castle ruins sit, neglected, with just a plaque and stone commemorating the event. It could and should be a place of special pilgrimage. Officially, Hara Castle and its defenders are not forgotten, but in the hearts of men and women, I don’t think there is much connection with either the suffering of so many, or their beliefs.
So if you could, during your evening prayers tonight, please say a small prayer for these Catholic martyrs so that they know they are not forgotten.
