So this lemon drizzle/lemon cheesecake porridge video just hypnotised me into one of the most traumatic cheesecake incidents I have ever witnessed.
My brother made a cheesecake at school in food tech. I was very proud of him for making it, and for bringing it home in one piece. Apparently, everyone else on the school bus had dropped their cheesecakes by accident (or course by accident. Who ruins a good cheesecake on purpose?) but my brother had managed to keep his intact by holding onto it very carefully all the way home.
I was only young- maybe 4?- but I still remember this moment very clearly. My mum and I had met him to walk home from the bus stop. Closer and closer we got home, my brother clutching his cheesecake, laughing at the number of cheesecake splodges were on the bus floor and who had to clean it up.
I really wanted a slice.
We got to the end of the drive. The front door was in sight when SPLAT.
THE CHEESECAKE WAS DROPPED.
The mess of this squished cheesecake on the floor will scar my brain forever. It was going to be so delicious. It was so close to being safe but it got taken away.....RIP cheesecake.
I insisted we went to the shop to buy him another cheesecake. I felt so bad that all his effort went to waste. I don’t think my brother cared at all but I did. Maybe I just really wanted cheesecake....
Luckily this @Henchfuel porridge didn’t drop on the floor!

No Whey Box 🌱 It's not the worst vegan protein you've ever tasted 😝 - we actually think it's the best 🤭 What is in it exactly? It's a combination of hemp, pea and flaxseed... which is what gives it the texture 😋 .
SALTED CARAMEL PROTEIN OATS .
Ok so I may have just found my new favourite flavour of protein; @theproteinworks salted caramel bandit whey is legit amazing! And it worked oh so perfectly in these oats! .
RECIPE: add 100g grated courgette and 50g oats to a bowl then mix with 200ml unsweetened almond milk. Microwave for 2 minutes, then stir though 50g liquid egg whites and a scoop of protein powder. Microwave for another 1.5-2 minutes until thick and cakey .
Toppings are a very generous spoonful of @theproteinworks smooth PB (look how creamy 😛), two squares of @cocoa.plus chocolate, raspberries, frozen blueberries and some @whitworthsuk salted caramel mixed seeds.
Happy Humpday! Anyone else feel like this week is just flying by?! I’m the sort of person who saves best until last. When I received my Hench fuel porridge, I looked at this flavour and had this gut feeling that this one should be the one I try after all of the others (bar the vegan ones 🌱)
Always trust your gut oatlings because THIS ONE IS THE BEST...(of the ones I have tried so far)
Splashing the hot water in, you get a delightful whiff of citrus. It has a sweet, tangy lemon taste which mixes with the vanilla to make a lemon drizzle/lemon cheesecake flavour. If you made this into overnight oats it would definitely be like a mushed up lemon cheesecake (#oathack )
The texture was SO THICK AND CREAMY!
It’s so smooth and satisfying, with help from the extra protein. 💪
Low sugar, high protein and 100% delicious.
10/10 porridge points!

Forget the coffee... we want @enliveningelle gingerbread chia latte instead 😋👉 200ml oat milk, 200ml black tea, 1 sachet @whey_box gingerbread, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 tsp cardamom!
Heat and froth up the milk. Slowly pour the tea over the protein and spices, stirring to avoid lumps. Top with the frothy milk and an extra sprinkling of cinnamon 😍
The creamiest strawberry porridge that tastes like a smoothie. Cook porridge as usual but adding some frozen strawberries, chopped banana and a whisked egg. Cook on a low heat for 5 min. Blend well and serve warm! finish with your favourite toppings! It is so delicious, it tastes like a dessert. Love your health

For breakfast; I made some creamy cinnamon flavored oats - and topped them with some banana slices and a drizzle of almond butter - simple but oh so delicious. .
I made the oatmeal with: rolled oats, almond milk, water, a little salt, and some pure maple syrup - I found that making the oatmeal with unsweetened almond milk helps make it more creamier. .
As if you didn't know, oatmeal is great for you (whole grain) and doesn't even take long to make. It comes out great in the microwave as well, if you're short on time. .

Remembrance Day. 100 years since WW1 ended
#lestweforget - but not only those who fought in WW1. All people who have fought in all wars.
My great grandfather didn’t fight in the war. He was too young in WW1, and in WW2 stayed in England because he had a mill and worked to provide food for rations.
That mill, as well as milling flour, milled oats!
I have an ancestral history with oats.
