Not looking forward to having less time at the gym as of next week as I will be back in uni! I would like to still go twice a day, I could just about manage it last time, but since this is my final year I really wanna focus on studying. So will try to balance it, going every morning, but go back in the afternoon only every other day or so
Basic fruit bowl and a graze protein flapjack
Super Saturday tasty homemade dark chocolate, peanut and golden syrup protein flapjacks 🍯🥜🍫
Not only do you know exactly what’s going into your flapjacks, you can make them exactly how you want
More protein, less fat, more carbs, so ideal for gaining or dieting
No baking required and only 4 ingredients required, to make the amount below use:
15g @meridianfoods Coconut & Peanut Butter
15g Whey Protein (@scimx @bulkpowders_uk @myproteinuk )
2-3 Tbsp Suagr Free Golden Syrup @myproteinuk
30g @mornflake Oats
Pour all the dry ingredients into a bowl and add the peanut butter and heavily mix, it will seem very dry so add the golden syrup bit by bit making sure the mix isn’t too wet. If it really is too dry add a touch of water before putting it into a little tin pushing down the mix packing it all in
Finish with toppings of choice, I chose dark chocolate, you could use @pbfit.official , chocolate chips anything you want 😍

Carrying on the mint theme courtesy of @rst41 @bbwarehouse Premium LUX Protein Flapjack mint choc chunk is going to fuel today’s double session 🚲 🏃🏻♀️ Comes in two flavours this and chocolate chunk which I also have so excited to try that too.
A 75g bar - size wise similar to 60g bars but weight and density much heavier. Bringing in 20g protein which is decent for a flapjack coming from milk protein/hydrolysed gelatine so vegans 🛑
At first site the picture I’m sorry does make the bar look like a turd😂 but I promise it gets better keep swiping 😉🤤 not a massive mint aroma comes off the bar. A solid bar packed to the brim with rolled & toasted oats, combined together by honey, a protein blend mentioned above 👆 cocoa powder and dotted chocolate chips within.
Texture: a firm chew from the off. The oats aren’t too grainy or dry as the added element of cocoa butter gives a smooth texture to the bar. The added mint choc chunks are a nice addition giving the bar an added element so it’s not too samey as some flapjacks can be. A slight robust earthy feel to the bar but the slimline mint adds that bit of zest.
Taste: a real mouthful of chocolate mint oatyness. To me it had just enough flavour to be a real decent bar. Not too much mint, not too rich in sweetener and a smooth chocolate which covered the entire flapjack made it really enjoyable. Low in fat too which is great pre workout as it settles well on the stomach with decent carb count for longevity. Could do with slightly more chunks involved and maybe a stronger chocolate flow throughout but a strong flapjack imo with great macros.

Trialing another new recipe:
Chocolate orange flapjacks. These tasted incredible but the texture is just a little too dry for me. There’s definitely a cracking protein flapjack recipe in here but it’ll take some tweaking to get it perfect.
In other news Thebeltsander.com has made it onto the short list for an Irish blog awards.
2017 we made it onto the long list and this years goal was to make it to the shortlist so I’m amazed it’s gotten this far this year. Who knows, we might even get nominated and then I’ll have to actually attend.
Big thanks to anyone who’s a regular reader there or has ever even clicked on my website. As always I’m humbled by your support.
A delivery from @bulkpowders_uk today; chocolate peanut Pure Whey Protein, chocolate orange protein snack bars and white chocolate & raspberry protein cookies. 🍫💪
I'm a big fan of protein bars/cookies/flapjacks, and usually get through one every other day. For me, they are great at getting my protein intake up, especially on low calorie days. They are also a life saver if I get any sweet cravings, providing a lower calorie, more nutritious alternative to what I might otherwise reach for... 😆🍪🍨🍩
Pre workout things from today.
Got up at 5am for gym like everyday, got there and realised it's bank holiday so it didn't open till 8am😪 so silly
But yeah, the shake doesn't look very appealing, I know haha! Also sorry, I do realise my posts are very repetitive, but I have the same routine/food all the time. Consistency is key though!

@myhiitkit delivering some sweet looking new stuff direct to your door... this is @warriorsupps brownie protein Flapjack 😁
Appearance wise there's not much to say, it's not decorated and looks pretty plain and simple.
Texturewise it's not too tough, and has plenty of oaty bits in. There are what seems like a very small amount of choc chips in and there is a bit of a floury protein texture afterwards.
Flavour is nice and chocolatey, but sweetened with Stevia leaves a little bit of an aftertaste.
The bar is pretty low fat at 4g, and 20g protein and 34g carbs.
Overall it's an okay bar and I'm glad I tried it. But with competitors absolutely smashing the flapjack game I'm not able to vote too high.
