I'd tried out the Starbucks americano with their sugarfree vanilla syrup - have to say I wasn't too impressed! The vanilla didn't come through for me and I was abit put off by the fact that it's sweetened with Aspartame...
So decided to make my own using vanilla flavoured protein powder and cold brewed black coffee 😊 Turned out great and the protein shake gave it a little creaminess! 👍

My legs are dead 💀 from a massive amount of squats and wall balls the last 2 days so I decided to take a rest day and get some fresh air. I started the day with some #romwod and an epson salt bath. Then went to Chipotle and headed over to Ashley Reservoir for a nice winters walk. Finished the afternoon with some #proteincoffee and an #rxbar . Back in the salon tomorrow for all your #holidayhair needs. At the #thehaircuttery in Westfield tomorrow-Friday the 14th- from 11-7 and Saturday 9-5.
Creamy protein latte perfect to get cozy with this holiday season ☕️🥰 the texture of it is insanely smooth and just the perfect amount of nuttiness and sweetness that everyone will love. There are many variations to this cup of love, but the base recipe is as follows:
3/4 the mug boiling water
1/2 cup almond milk
2 scoops freeze dried coffee or 2 shots espresso (adjust into the boiling water amount)
1/2-1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen peptides
2 tbs nut butter (cashew or almond)
Dash of vanilla
1-2 tsp maple syrup
Pinch of salt
Blend at high speed 45 seconds!
Optional add-ins: cacao powder, peppermint extract, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, turmeric, cardamom, etc.) enjoy ✨ let me know how it compares to other lattes you’ve had!! 🤗 •
What’s also nice about this latte is that the nut butter and peptides help to balance out the acidity of coffee to reduce/prevent irritation that may occur after drinking coffee (especially on an empty stomach)! It also helps slow the absorption of the caffeine to dim down the jitter effect 👍🏼
Also, finals are OVER! I’m so happy with how this semester has been and incredibly proud of all the hard work I’ve dedicated to my education. Hope everyone’s finals went well! Good luck to those with exams/papers left! •

This is my absolute favorite thing to do with the Level-1 Peppermint Bark.
If I could have this with every meal I would.

I use 1 scoop of Carmel flavored coffee, brew hot water and use my coffee press.
Add 1 TBS Hersheys Special Dark Cacao Power.
1 Scoop @1stphorm Level-1 Peppermint Bark (this is a limited flavor so act fast)
Mix all together and top with whip cream and sprinkles on top to make it look festive.

Why is this important?.
While you are sleeping your body goes into a Catabolic state (fat storing/ muscle burning)..
This is why it is important to get high quality protein first thing in the morning and about 15-30 grams every 2-3 hours to keep your body in an Anabolic state (fat burning/ muscle building)..
I try to prioritize getting my protein from Whole Foods first but realized quickly it was difficult for me to get enough protein throughout the day. That is why I supplement with level 1! Level 1 is an easy and tasty way to make sure I hit my protein goals daily while keeping my body in an Anabolic state!.

Happy Wednesday!! I feel like I’ve finally found my perfect combination of protein/coffee, this has been my morning routine for the last month or so. Granted it’s a few more steps than just espresso over ice but I can do this at home or the office and it doesn’t make me run late everyday (lookin at you Starbucks 😒) I take my brewed coffee and mix in 1 scoop of unflavored protein, 1 scoop of collagen peptides, 1 teaspoon of fiber. The handy little frother gets it all mixed together and I pour it over ice and add a vanilla Atkins. I usually drink this over a three hour period and it’s been perfect. What is your go to morning coffee or protein routine?
