Put them in a place where kids will look at them often (because everyone loves a colorful post-it note!) and choose one to focus on each week.
Sometimes it's hard to stay positive when there's so much negativity all around. I am a positive person by nature and tend to see the glass as half full. I can definitely say that my relationship I have with God helps me with this daily. Today however, I was reminded that no matter how positive you are, or would like to be in certain situations, there always seems to be someone who wants to tear you down. This doesn't relate to a specific incident that happened to me, but two ladies I follow right here on IG, who have the sweetest accounts, both of them experienced two seperate cyber bullying attacks. I used the word "attacks" because that's exactly what they were, not a rude comment (which is a whole other post) but DM's and separate accounts being created with the intention of promoting hateful behavior. If you're like me you follow accounts a lot of times because you're drawn to a person's authenticity or their artistic ability to convey life through squares, and sometimes it's just because they post cute pictures. That's what insta is all about right? Especially us woman, we need to lift each other up and promote encouragement not discouragement. It just breaks my heart how mean spirited some people can be. Where have empathy and compassion gone? Sigh. After reading what these ladies have been going through I felt compelled to promote positivity tonight🖤
This is one of the most important and hardest lessons I’ve had to learn, when to take a step back and rest. I push myself so much of the time and I’m constantly trying to do my best in all aspects of my life... relationships, work, art, learning, self care, etc. I’m certainly not perfect in any area but even as I strive to improve I also have to occasionally accept that this day might not be a day for progress. This day might be a day for recuperation... for playing with my cat or watching a movie or sleeping in. And that’s ok. I’ve gotten better at recognizing when I reach that point where I’m just tired and have to give myself a break. So I’ll be taking it a bit easy this next week or two and enjoying these waning summer days. If you have any recommendations of outdoor activities or good movies I would love to hear them. 💙
I have been a little MIA lately.... dealing with my back. It has been such a roller coaster ride of both pain and emotions. Some days I have little pain and I’ll feel great and other days I am stuck in bed of on the couch and super sad about feeling like my body is giving up on me.
I am trying my absolute best to stay positive and push positive vibes into the universe and know that I have come a very long way, but lately my body has been craving movement. So today I took a little walk down the street and came back home and just a little bit of movement with my virtual gym! I am still taking it SUPER easy and not jumping into anything I would have been doing before the accident but it felt amazing today to get up and get moving!
I love that I have the gift to move my body and honoring it by trying to keep it healthy 🤓

There are many definitions of the Mom Bod, but for me it’s being comfortable in my own skin. You may look at this picture & think you don’t have any of those things. But the truth is I do. I have stretch marks around my thighs & other places. I don’t have a flat stomach or abs. (I like food. Have you tried tacos? 🤷🏻♀️) ~
My point is, you only have one life. And yes while you need to take care of your body, you still need to enjoy life. Enjoy your family. Stretch marks don’t just disappear so why obsess over them? Instead obsess about enjoying life. Use that energy in a positive way. ✨ ~
