People change, life can change, bodies change, we can become depressed, but we can find true happiness too - life’s not simple.
Shit just happens, you either stay the way you’ve become or you do something about it. I’m pleased to say I did make changes!
For the last year I may have weighed the same but I’ve taken care of myself and I’m still changing. It doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a work in progress. But looking back is my true measure of how much I have changed over the years. Weight watchers at the age of 13 weighing 10 Stone to a Size 14/16 through the last years of school, through uni I went up to a size 24 and back to 16 then up to 20 after uni again and now I’ve finally come down to a comfortable size q14 again. The toughest obstacles are the ones you create in your mind.... This "rollable" step-up and I have been battling it out for a while now. Push yourself and see what you can do! I saw #bossbabe @nikkieneal do this and I wanted to try! As you can see in the video I was so surprised I got it on my first try 😂 It’s just proof that consistency pays off. Work each day and get a little better. Push ups have always been challenging with me. Once I master traditional push-ups next up for me was tricep push-ups. It started as simple as doing tricep push ups on my knees. It was in that position that I could learn quality form. Gosh, I started with like 5, but just made it a game to keep adding on slowly but surely...and now I get to play around and see what I’m made of with challenges like this. Had no clue that I built up this strength. It doesn’t matter where you start...all that matters is that you keep going. Remember my motto, it’s not about perfection, it’s about perfection. Have fun and enjoy the process of getting happier and healthier healthier each day! •
And yes, I get super hyped up easily lmao, so that’s @blainestrong getting me to focused as always and having me reel it back in 😂 I’m like a 5-year old. That’s what friends are for haha.
I want you to surprise yourself. Commit to yourself. Work at getting 1% healthier every day. Make decisions that make you feel happier and healthier mentally and physically. Take the time to reflect on your weeks and see if you’re investing your time and energy is experiences and people who are worth it. I want you to commit to yourself so much that you surprise yourself with new found built genuine happiness and strength.

Hearing this term being thrown around a lot lately. Stepping away from whatever it is that you are doing and changing who you are completely isn’t the fix. It’s all about building off of and not tearing down. Get out there and try different things and something might just stick. Don’t wait for something new to fall into your lap and don’t just abandon what it is that you are doing now. #moveforward#yeg#life#progressionnotperfection
