When we #create a piece of #art , we can stop any time we like.
We can put down the #brush and step away from the #easel any time we want.
Or we can keep going. We can keep #playing with it, keep #layering the #paint and see where it takes us.
But what if I ruin it, our cautious little voice inside says. Should I stay where it is and not mess it up?
Art is a lot like #life .
Sometimes we don’t move out of #fear that what we have is good enough. If we make a false step we’re going to wreck it.
At times we have a hard time #imagining anything other than what we see in front of us.
Often our #experiences have taught us not to hope for anything other than the #basic#whitewash on #canvas .
On the easel of life, we can put the brush down whenever we like.
We can step back and take a long look at our #canvas .
We can sit there and stare at it as long as we need to. It’s not going anywhere.
And we are always able to pick that #palette back up, put the brush to the canvas and #recolor the #surface at any time. That’s the #beauty of life and art.
There really is no end, only #blending from one #hue to the next.
It’s always a work in #progress .
For many of us we fight the battle between faith and flesh daily. When faith wins it is elevated, but when flesh wins it is elevated. To say yes to faith is to say no to selfish desires, arrogance, self-centeredness, shame, doubt and most important to comfort. In order to elevate your faith, you have to fight with a battle bigger than your previous one. So when that battle approaches go to God in prayer, put on your armor, and be still. Jesus won the battle for you at the cross, you just have to show him that you have the confidence to stand in the storm. #GOD1st#TheFitPastor#Elevation#Faith#ElevatedFaith#Growth#Progress#Discomfort#Power#Rooted#Inspiration#Transformation
