Each time we smile our brain throws a little feel good party.
When our “smiling” muscles contract, they fire a signal to the brain stimulating our reward system and further increasing the level of feel-good hormones, or endorphins.
Smiles are also contagious, so cheers to helping others feel good too!
Here at ProActive Health we are all about smiling and helping you feel your best!.

TWJ Winter Wellness Tip No. 4
Ensure that you have adequate levels of vitamin D to support you during the winter months.
Vitamin D deficiency has significant implications for human health and directly correlates with life expectancy. Whilst most of us know that vitamin D is essential for bone health, very little is said about the association with lowering risk for cardiovascular, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases as well as certain cancers. If you want to support healthy immune function this winter, then I urge you to get your vitamin D levels tested. In the absence of a test I would suggest the following:
1. Increase food sources of vitamin D, such as eggs, oily fish, mushrooms and fortified milk
2. Supplement with 2,000 IU of vitamin D3 each day. Look for an emulsified supplement such as Nutri Advanced D3 K2 (don't go above 2,000IU with this supplement) or Allergy Research D3 Complete or Allergy Research Super D3.
For more information you can read my blogpost on vitamin D and/or watch my video about how easy it is to get your levels tested.
This super entertaining book explores what makes people such as Bill Gates and the Beatles, that successful. As it turns out, there is more to their success than individual merit; it’s not enough to ask “how were they like?” without looking at the hidden opportunities they had and the backgrounds they came from. Outliers are those who have been given opportunities - and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them.
Ideas Worth Sharing
Bill Gates was presented with 9 opportunities that gave him the chance to practice programming almost nonstop as a teenager; he was one of the very few teenagers who had this chance.
The relationship between success and IQ works only up to a point; having additional IQ points after the 120 mark doesn’t seem to add much real-world value.
According to researchers, the magic number of true expertise is 10,000 hours of practice.
“Hard work is a prison sentence only if it does not have meaning. Once it does, it becomes the kind of thing that makes you grab your wife around the waist and dance a jig.”
All the advantage that wealthy students have over poor students is the result of differences in the way privileged kids learn while they are NOT in school; wealthy parents keep their children occupied with extracurricular activities, while poor parents leave their children to their own devices.
Success can be replicated if we understand and try to recreate conditions that contributed to the success of Outliers.
I hope I left you a little better than I found you ♡

However, taking deep breaths is a lot more powerful than you would think. It has the power to slow down your heart rate, and de-activate you parasympathetic system, and reduce the release of adrenaline and cortisol (chronic secretion is incredibly damaging to our bodies)
- проанализировать все, что происходило во время мероприятия, на общем собрании команды;
- составить пост-релиз и отправить его СМИ;
- отправить благодарности/отчеты партнерам и спонсорам;
- отредактировать и выложить фотографии (главное не дергайте фотографа на эту тему, рискуете попасть под горячую руку);
- мониторить публикации по хэштегам, чтобы получить фидбэк от участников;
- выдохнуть и выспаться (хотя кого я обманываю). Что бы вы добавили в этот список?
Do you have a pain in the neck? (Besides your spouse 😂) Our Athletic Trainer, Chris, is demonstrating these simple stretches for you to try throughout the day to help relieve some of the pain or stiffness.
Hold the affected side’s arm behind your back. Pull opposite ear to shoulder. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat as needed.
Hold the affected side’s arm behind your back, then pull gently down toward your opposite underarm until you feel a mild stretch. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat as needed.
Whitney Moon started her health and fitness journey AFTER being diagnosed with breast cancer. She says, "Fitness helped me take back control of my body after cancer. Instead of focusing on what cancer had taken from me and the limitations surgeries had put on me, I started focusing on what my body could do."⠀

Thorough patrol preparations include the order process, patrol planning, pre-patrol checks, and rehearsals. On completion, a debrief should be conducted with all patrol members and any reports forwarded duly to command.
You will never know how the patrol will unfold, so make sure you and your team members are ready for every eventuality!
