Howdy all! Just wanted to pop on and say hello! I known I’ve been MIA lately. Reality check, I’ve spread myself too thin this month. And, because of this, I’m choosing not to publish any blog posts for the month of December (with the exception of Book Club). I realize I could be capitalizing on all the holiday gift guides, affiliate links, and potential sponsorships of the season like the majority of bloggers out there. However, that would come at the expense of quality time with my daughter. With the other commitments I’ve made in my life this month, I need to be spending my spare time with her. So, I am happily choosing to trade in the potential blogging gains for cuddles and snuggles with ☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼 my baby cakes. I just love this time of year 🎄 But it’s so important to take the time out and refocus on Family and Friends. I seem to get so wrapped up in work and the day to day that everything else falls to the side. Life is not about how good you do your job but in fact how good you are in life, as a wife, daughter, friend, colleague. Focus on fun, laughter, love and health and everything else will fall in to place. This is what I woke up to today. I planned my day according to daylight activities vs night activities. I had to rearrange all I was doing because I was unsure about potential power outages. I charged all my electronics and used them sparing. I did my large loads of laundry first so I could ensure I could dry them fully. There is a different menu every time, different chef and anyone can apply to cook there.

Let’s talk about P R I O R I T I E S ✅
Whether you think you’re doing it or not, everyone prioritizes. The question is, are you in control of your priorities or do you let them control you?
Our priorities may change often (sometimes daily)— so how do you manage keeping your priorities aligned with your goals?
For me, I like to categorize my priorities into groups. Time of day is not a concern here— it’s how important it is for you to MAKE TIME in your day to do these things.
Basically, if you have a busy day, whats the first thing you skip? Start from the bottom and write your list upwards.
These are some EXAMPLES of groups of priorities (everyone is different): •
1️⃣ Daily Essentials - brushing teeth, showering, eating, etc. I make sure I have time in the day for these things (we all do this subconsciously)
2️⃣ Income-Producing Activities - going to work, doing something for my business, following up with a client (anything that I have to do to make a living + put food on the table)
3️⃣Challenge - Workouts, cleaning, meal planning, budget, etc. (something may not be totally motivated to do or is necessary to achieve a goal)
4️⃣Personal growth - audiobooks, walks, meditating, etc. (something that is going to help me grow as a person + de-stress)
5️⃣ Fun - games, tv shows, laying around scrolling Instagram, etc. (something that is just because you feel like it and doesn’t really have much meaning other than fun/entertainment)
What’s usually the first thing to get tossed to the side when you have a busy day?

WEEK 5 = THEME: INTRODUCE NEW VEGETABLE EVERY DAY
Winter time makes us cold and miserable and the last thing we have on our mind to cheer us up is the cold fresh salad.
➡️ That’s why we are going to aim to include more vegetables and especially the seasonal ones.
➡️ Not to miss on vitamins and minerals when we need them as s prevention to viruses and colds.
GOAL: to introduce a new vegetable to one of your meals every day
An initial tip:
The root vegetables are the hit of the season. Roast them with coconut oil and sprinkle your favourite spices over.
Serve with Greek yogurt and we have all in one:
1 VEGS - warm, cosy, comforting and sweet
2 GOOD FAT - coconut oil
3 FERMENTED FOOD - yogurt 🌶

I know I’ve been there, everyone has. During times when we feel unworthy or aren’t evening seeking God. In those crazy times of tragedy, heart ache, disappointment or despair. He is there! Loving on us! And When we are in a better place after all the craziness of those trials we can look back and truly see that He was there through it all!! When we were there not knowing which way to turn or whom to turn to. He was holding us! -
If this brings you back to the gratefulness of how good God has been to you drop a “🙌🏻” and tag someone who might need this little reminder. -And right now just take a moment to thank God that He is there in your certain times and just as much in the uncertain ones.
Like most entrepreneurs, I have a pretty strong case of shiny object syndrome. Squirrel! ⠀
At least once I week I have some sort of idea that'd take hundreds of hours to actually execute. Most of the time, I don't act on it and it becomes a fleeting thought.⠀
However, every now and then, I decide I should take action! Let's do this!⠀
I charge forward with enthusiasm and my schedule fills up even more. I now have more to do and simply "make it work."⠀
That might mean I need to work at night "periodically," stay late at work "now and then," or do "just one thing" on the weekend.⠀
Individually, the tasks are fairly harmless. But as they add up, my real priorities start slowly slipping away.⠀
I'm inevitably sacrificing time with my family, friends, and those relationships that are most important to me.⠀
When I make a choice to take on a project, I'm actively choosing against something else. It's often hard to see the impact, but it's there.⠀
I've made choices without enough consideration for years.⠀

Remember that you have everything you need to accomplish your God given assignment. Sometimes you just may need to be shaken a little so you may become aware of it. Then you can take the action to tap into it. 💯

“When I was younger I was scared to talk to my parents and sharing my feelings with them was not an option. Instead, I internalized my feelings. I was a nerdy kid who was often alone. I would spend my days daydreaming. I developed depression from constantly being in my head and internalizing all my feelings.
When I started university, I felt more freedom and I tried to meet more people. Many of these people encouraged me to get psychological help. This helped me realize that a lot of what I was dealing with comes from stress. There is some stress that I can not control, such as how my parents view me. It is their decision whether to be proud of me or not. If I let that control me, it is going to be a source of unnecessary stress that I have to carry.
But I can control whether I’m going to be really stressed about my grades. If I procrastinate it will cause me stress, so I developed better study techniques to avoid cramming last minute. Another stress I can control is the “Cali or Bust” mentality. I can decide that working in California is the only way to be a successful engineer or I can decide that there are other definitions of success. I have realized that everyone goes at their own pace. I stopped listening to other people and started doing what I liked to do.”
So proud of this guy!! He had to miss practice tonight for his championship football game on Saturday but he did it without complaining & performed to God’s glory.
