I am writing more detailed components to my work... here is a draft: “No Longer Severed” is the fist rising out of the severed leg. This represents resistance to the violence perpetrated against us.
NO LONGER SEVERED by DiVita: “No Longer Severed” was first displayed with my piece: “These Heels Are Killing Me” on July 8th 2017. In the piece “These Heels are Killing Me.” I used fashion in an ironic and paradoxical manner to portray the violence against us. The severed leg was an obvious symbol of the violence that my friends and I have experienced. High heel shoes themselves are paradoxical, because through the lens of a societal norm, they are sexy, fashionable, and alluring. On the other hand they are restrictive; you cannot run away in them, which is in part why my piece is entitled: “These Heels Are Killing Me.” The heel of the high heel shoe in my piece was a severed barbie leg. When Barbie was first produced in 1959 her foot was cast toe always pointed. There was no option for her foot to be flat. That is the ultimate expression of restriction. However the ideals Barbie reflected were ingrained in society long before she was created. I don’t want my work to be interpreted as a criticism of Barbie. If anything I use her as a tool to expose issues of gender norming ingrained long before she was created. Since Barbie’s foot can only wear a heel, I decided to make her leg the heel of my high heel shoe. The high heel is a restriction just like her molded foot is restricted to always wear a high heel. She can never run away. She can never escape. “No Longer Severed” is the fist rising out of the severed leg. This represents resistance to the violence perpetrated against us.
I displayed “No Longer Severed” in pink at PYRE PYNK on June 9th 2018 at One One Six Two

Always You Part 44- Addison’s POV
I kept crying for what felt like hours. I checked the clock and it was around 3am. I hear a knock at the door and stumble over, answering it. It’s Harry. He looked exhausted. “Ad’s..hey.. I tried your house but you-” “What do you want?” He frowned, empathy covering his face. “Addison I’m so sorry. I’m so fucking sorry!” His eyes were watering and I laughed. “Why the hell are you here? Shouldn’t you be out fucking some girl?” He sighs hitting the side of the house, making me jump. “Addison it was a drunken mistake!” I roll my eyes, stepping back in the house. “Fuck you, Harry.” I’m closing the door when he presses his hand against it, stopping me. “When I kissed you, I thought I felt something. Turns out, it was all just shit. This is fucking shit!” I started crying. Looking up at him. “And to think I thought you cared. I could’ve fucking loved you!” The alcohol was taking over. Harry looked shocked and confused.
"You hate me, Addison. You always have.” I nodded, wiping a stray tear from my cheek. “I did. I hated you so fucking much. Until you helped me, until you showed the smallest bit of human decency! I thought you cared..” He chuckled. “That’s your own damn fault. How stupid do you have to be to see that I’ll never care about you?” I slapped him, just like I slapped Louis.”I hate you so fucking much Harry.” I closed the door and slid down against it, laying my head on my knees and letting the tears fall.

Hi good people! I’ve had this idea for a t-shirt based on a reference from my FAVORITE cartoon for awhile now, and finally got around to designing it! I mostly want one for myself, but I put it online in case anyone else wants to order one—just in time to not get it in time for pride month!
Amazing!!! 🌈😮😘 Link in the bio :) #stevenuniverse#pride#plzdontsueme
Happy International Yoga Day! What I had originally planned to post was this video I took of 40+ Yogi's of different shapes and sizes and cultural and ethinic backgrounds standing in tree pose inside city hall in San Francisco. Therby representating the variety and landscape of what yogis REALLY look like, in our lovely diverse city. Too bad I don't know how to use my phone 😐
Instead here's a group of lovely human beings that I had the honor of teaching later today, and here's a toast to YOGA, PRIDE, DIVERSITY, and the SUN on the longest day of the year
