Starting to do that whole ‘reflect on 2018’ thing... feeling super blessed to have built a community where this rings true day in and day out.
My PSA to you- if this isn’t your tribe, it’s time to find a new one. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish when you surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed!!

My first appointment wasn't until I was (what I thought) 10 weeks along, but Baby Meek ended up measuring at 9 weeks, making him/her due July 4th! 🇺🇸 Mason came with me while I had my first ultrasound done, and let me tell ya, it was amazing to actually SEE the little tiny nugget moving around in my belly. The sound of our baby's heartbeat made all of my morning sickness worth it, and reminded me of how precious life is, even when it's the size of a grape.
Now for the most exciting part that I think y'all will get a chuckle out of: getting my blood drawn. I am seriously SO dramatic, and I don't even know how to control it, so if anyone has tips please let me know! To keep this short, my appointment ended with a nurse bringing me orange juice, peanut butter crackers, an ice pack, wet towel and a puke bag, while holding a giant portable fan on me, then wheeling me off to lay down in a room because I was seriously close to passing out. So if that isn't the best "first prenatal appointment" experience, what is?
p.s. if you look closely, you’ll see that my last name is apparently “Neek” 🤷♀️
I count my lucky stars everyday that I have been given the chance to meet and have such amazing women in my life. If it weren't for my volunteering for the London Rose of Tralee, I would have never been introduced to these strong, smart and independent women who I learn so much from. The London Rose and Rose of Tralee is truly a sisterhood of likeminded females who want to make their mark on the world. I am very grateful to be a part of it. 💚🌹☘ @londonrosecentre @roseoftraleefestival @aislinghillary @grainnehawkes @emmamoc91 @caoimhe_gall #londonrose#roseoftralee#sisterhood#irishwomen#feminism
The cutest catch up with the daisy birthing mummies. 🎄✨ We have now all been friends for 3.5 years, and some of us have had, or are having baby no.2! I absolutely loved my hypno- birthing sessions and would highly recommend doing them to anyone who is confused to what pre natal course to choose if any. No this doesn’t mean that I gave birth in a tranquil environment with no pain relief, in-fact my two labours were far from it! However, what it did give me were the tools to make me feel confident about the scary prospect of child birth. It taught me how to breath correctly, positions to induce natural dilation. Medical knowledge into child birth, and the “must haves” for your hospital bag. And finally, it has given me all of these gorgeous women. Every single lady has given their support in desperate times of need. We are all completely diverse in our ways of parenting, our children’s needs and lifestyles. Yet, although we are all so different our loyalty and morals towards motherhood are the same. I mean who else are you supposed to text at 1:55am when the baby won’t latch on and your utterly exhausted and can’t sleep!
So it’s been an utter joy to of had these women in my life so far, and I hope there will be many more memories made in the forceable future. 🥰

Would you believe that pictured is a mother of 2 under age 3 and a mother of one who’s currently expecting her second 💓☺️👶🏼 As a mum, it can be easy to lose track of prioritising yourself when you are busy looking after everyone else. But think of it like when you are on the aeroplane and they say fit your own oxygen mask before helping others. You need to be healthy and happy yourself in order to take care of everyone else around you. You need a strong body and a strong mind to be the best for your family. 👩👦👦 💓
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! We’re just home from a lovely Christmas party at my folks. So nice to see lots of my cousins and their kiddos that I haven’t seen in ages - best thing about Christmas is definitely all the get togethers 😍
Funny how the parties have changed over the years though. Now that there are lots of kiddos in the mix so many people leave around 6.30pm and one parent will be on ‘watch-the-kids’ duty while the other has a glass or two and a catch up. Usually the in-laws are on kiddo duty but that’s fair right? 😝
Hope everyone who got their hands on a December box is loving their Mama Bear keychain from @moccaberry. Completely custom designed for Mama Moments from leather & paint colours, to the hardware and messaging. I’ve been using mine about 5 months and it still looks brand new. Absolutely love it 😍 Makes a gorgeous gift if you’ve forgotten to pick up a Christmas present for anyone but I definitely encourage you to keep it for yourself 😉

12 Challenges of Christmas 🎄
Day 4 – Purge! 🗑
Purging. Decluttering. Letting go…
So often we hold on to things much longer than we need to. Many of us have an irrational attachment to a lot of our belongings and as a result are being overtaken by clutter!
Clutter can keep you blocked from moving forward in your life. Any form of clutter will steal energy from you. 🔌🔋🧠 Clearing out your physical space can translate to cleared mental space too (and who couldn’t use more mental clarity?!) 🤯💆♀️ Here are some questions to ask yourself when determining what needs to go: ✅ Does it spark joy? 😁🤗
✅ Is it useful? 🔨⚖️
✅ Have I used it in the past year? 📆 ✅ Could someone else use it more?
✅ Would it cost less than 💲5️⃣ to replace? ✅ Do I have and need more than one of these?
✅ Will I ever really fix/make/fit/use it again?
Tackle this goal all at once or a little each day. Donate it 🎁 🛍 sell it 💵💰or just throw it away ♻️🗑 Throughout the process or relinquishing unnecessary items (clothes, toys, jewellery, décor, shoes, dishes, etc…) maintain a spirit of gratitude for its service or contribution. Reminisce if it has a connection to a special time or memory. But then, lovingly LET IT GO!
