Thursday last week was pure magic. Sissy and I strolled around our nearby downtown for location scouting/working.
Really and truly, though, we simply had a lovely time. She wore a “Mommy dress” from my childhood, we got potato chips as a snack, and she pranced along with sparkling eyes and I clicked away.
She is a joy and the whole day has a sort of golden haze around it in my memory.
The photos are so great that there will be a few posts today and in days to come. Haha.
This photo series is a perfect example of why I don’t often use props...authentic interactions in a beautiful setting with nice clothes win out for me. Every time.
This sweet shelf has been with us just about since we built our house almost 25 years ago come February. When we do our renovations, however, it probably won’t make the cut just to make more wall space in an already tight area. So today I thought I’d share this little spot that has served our family well over the years! Do you have a sweet spot or meaningful pieces of furniture? I’d love to hear what they are!.
When my Granny passed away I always thought of her as a bright star in the sky and have always cherished this star necklace as a memory of her. I wore it every day during my pregnancy and every day since Rose bud has been born. Now she plays with it when she feeds and often falls asleep holding it. I like to think she’s connecting with my Granny. Miss you Granny 😍😘⭐️🌠#grandmother#stars#preciousmemories#comforting
One of my favourite things about travelling is the new experiences. New foods, landscapes, cities (or villages) to wander in and lose yourself for a little while. In Melbourne we realised a tram ride to the museum to see the dinosaurs would thrill the pants off our son and tick the experience box.
Such a special moment to give - and share. And trams shall henceforth be known as tram toot-toots in our house.
I've also introduced a new blog series to Black tea, white pages: this moment. Just a pic of something from the week that I want to remember and savour.
I am so in love with this photo. We had it done as part of a plunket fundraiser recently, and I just love looking at it. For a “posed” photo, it so perfectly captures Bodhi’s personality. He wouldn’t sit for the photo until the photographer gave him this ball and then he wouldn’t let it go. He was so happy, which just sums up my little guy perfectly. He almost always has a ball in his hands, he is completely obsessed, and when he is grown this photo will be the perfect way for me to remember my little sports star 🖤😭
Just came across this and couldn’t help but smile. I literally wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for him. After he got injured I wanted to focus more on healing him than riding, and that’s why I’m in the rehabilitation program today 💕#alwaysinmyheart#preciousmemories
